Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: usurper on March 19, 2005, 12:49:57 PM 11 show cancelled, not a good start for a band that's album has not hit the 2 million mark
Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: Falcon on March 19, 2005, 01:29:03 PM 11 show cancelled, not a good start for a band that's album has not hit the 2 million mark 11 shows cancelled that tickets had been on sale for that weren't/haven't been made up or rescheduled? Documentation please. As an aside, what the fuck does not having hit the 2 million mark (I assume you mean stateside, they're well over that worldwide) have to do with your premise, or lack thereof? Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: usurper on March 19, 2005, 04:25:01 PM By two million mark I meant it has not sold even two million copies in the U.S, VR are cancelling shows when they should be playing them and trying to get more fans.

You understand that you really have no point, right? Do you know how many shows VR has played "this early in their career"? And can you list all of these cancelled shows for us? Id like to see where the 11 number came from... Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: mikegiuliana on March 19, 2005, 05:02:33 PM It's months in advance though, not like you find out during the show you are already at..

Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: Falcon on March 19, 2005, 05:35:18 PM Looks as though 11 went to 9 rather quickly and if I'm correct, there's a number of those 9 that tickets were never put on sale for...
Ticket information please. Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: usurper on March 19, 2005, 05:56:50 PM Fine 9, whatever..... ticket information? Can't you do that?
Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: Narcissa on March 19, 2005, 06:25:44 PM It's months in advance though, not like you find out during the show you are already at.. hahaha. Classic. Anyway, VR have done a hell of a lot of shows in the short time they've been together. They're ALLOWED to have scheduling conflicts once in a while. Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: Falcon on March 19, 2005, 06:46:54 PM Fine 9, whatever..... ticket information? Can't you do that? No. It wasn't my point to prove. Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: Booker Floyd on March 19, 2005, 08:53:51 PM Quote I think you see my point now Yeah, Im pretty sure most, if not all of those dates never were never actually made official. Edit: Falcon and I are right. Nov. 10 Spectrum Philadelphia, PA Nov. 22 Air Canada Centre Toronto, ONT, Canada Dec. 11 The Mansion Miami Beach, FL (This was played) I suspect the rest are just as inaccurate as the above. Quote and fuck you btw :hihi: Just to let you know, VR have performed approximately 120 shows, nearly all within the past year.? And theyll reach about 200 by summer.? Speaking of invalid points....as if your record sales point wasnt assinine enough, you tried tying in US sales to? these supposed cancellations when 1/3 of them are actually outside of the US.? ? : ok: Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: D on March 20, 2005, 05:12:05 AM Booker and Falcon are like Robert Shapiro and Johnny Cochrane :hihi: :hihi:
Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: Judge Dredd on March 20, 2005, 06:14:21 AM VR have cancelled a show a couple of months in advance, which is a vast improvement on a singer they used to work with cancelling them on a whim depending what gobbledigook his psychic had been whispering to his inner child. :peace:
Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: John Daniels on March 20, 2005, 07:19:52 AM Dodn't VR cancel a few shows because of Scott's throat was soar and he was a little bit sick or something? I think those reasons were quite justified to pull a few gig off the list.
Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: Falcon on March 20, 2005, 12:31:19 PM Booker and Falcon are like Robert Shapiro and Johnny Cochrane :hihi: :hihi: Sustained. Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: mikegiuliana on March 20, 2005, 05:22:41 PM I don't know if it's vr's fault for the shows.. A lot of shows are posted on belowempty before tickets even go on sale then they are just void.. They usually happen ages in advance most people never bought tickets because they didn't go on sale.. I see no problem with canceled shows as long as it's ample time before..
Big difference between missing show because you are sick, or the show was never really final (it just was a rough draft of the shows) then for letting the crowd gather inside the arena then watch the opening acts then while most are drinking no one comes out.. vr have played over a hundred shows, tour all the time, and they have never let any fans wait inside the venue only to find out the band isn't there So who gives a fuck about some canceled shows that most were not ever going to happen to begin with? Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: VeryHardToPlease on March 22, 2005, 12:05:07 PM I hope the May 14th show at JB doesn't get cancelled. That would suck :(

That would suck :( See you there  Yes that would be a big letdown being that's the only nyc area show.. Hope they do msg nexttime..Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: Krispy Kreme on April 21, 2005, 10:45:10 PM 11 show cancelled, not a good start for a band that's album has not hit the 2 million mark Not quite sure what you mean, but on Jay leno the other night they mentioned that Contraband has sold more than 3 million copies and 'still going strong.' Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: Jizzo on April 22, 2005, 03:29:15 AM and how many have they played, 100?
Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: Boner on April 23, 2005, 05:01:44 PM Yea, this is due to "scheduling conflicts with the band."? At least I get a refund. Or luck of ticket sales!....it's hard for a band of old geezers to sale an Arena place...even though their accomplished musicians! Title: Re: VR show canceled in Buffalo, NY Post by: usurper on April 23, 2005, 05:19:03 PM 11 show cancelled, not a good start for a band that's album has not hit the 2 million mark Not quite sure what you mean, but on Jay leno the other night they mentioned that Contraband? has sold more? than 3 million copies? and 'still going strong.'
