Title: I THINK THERES SOMTHING GOING ON Post by: banachkevin on March 18, 2005, 05:44:28 PM Most people would agree with me that axls style has changed alot, not that it a bad thing to change you know. But i was just wondering, AXL weares these baggy sport clothes which really dont suit him all that good, then you see pictures of him on the street dressed in jeans and t shirt and it looks good on him. But i think once the album drops we will see a different style in axl,alot less baggy clothes and more and alot more tattos than in the illusions days. I think axls hiding something under those baggy clothes, hes not fat like alot oF people say, because i seen those recent pictures of him on the street shopping and he looks realy great. What do you guys think?????

I don't really care what he wears or looks like he creates great music and a bad ass attitude. I actually thought the way he dressed back in the day and now was/is cool except for those damn biker pants :). The black raiders jersey is legendary and he's been wearing that forever and the Ohio jersey I don't care if he has worn the jersey before or not but he looked cool when I saw him live with it on after a 4 hour drive and it was definately cool. I don't care what any of the musicians look like or what they have done before joining and who is not in the band anymore it doesn't matter as longs as I like the music and GNR still kick ass. Here's my finaly rant and I think Axl would definately agree, and that is "stop talking about what Axl looks like or is wearing, hell stop talking about him at all until Axl speaks, group members speak, or album release date is set in stone"

I grew up playing basketball which is predominantly a black sport (go ahead with the racist claims) and it has a hip hop image. I always rocked basketball jerseys or football jerseys with warmup pants growing up. Of course now that I am still in my phase of officially becoming a white collar I cant walk around dressed like I am going to rob a liquor store. BUT, I still wear my jerseys and warmup pants at my place, because they are seriously just too damn comfortable not to wear. I just cant believe people are still talking about his 'new' wardrobe. Christ, my friends made fun of my for like 3 months after I started dressing like a banana republic and polo model, but they eventually got over it. I think it would be best for you all to just let it go.

I personally hope that CD will be somewhat underproduced....just great music recorded well,ala Tommies album, and that they do a large venues tour with no bloated videos (read nov rain) , then maybe GNR will be about music again. He's never gone more than a year wearing the same type of stuff; he always switches styles. I mean, at Rio III he had the wind pants and the silk shirt, the next New Years he had a slightly different look, and then of course the jerseys. Back in the day, he went from the glam look to the biker look, then the funny look of 91 and 92, to the Charlie Don't Surf shirts in 93. He changes his look a ton.
