Post by: mrlee on March 05, 2005, 07:52:06 AM Its most excellent but i cant find it on any CD's or anthing and it aint on the films soundtrack CD. i got mine from net out of desperation but the sound ups and downs a bit. Is there anyway of getting this? Also have VR ever perfromed this song live?

The version on the single is 7:38 min. The version I've seen for dowload is usely a lot shorter.

I actually like it better than the original. That song was always one of the most boring Floyd songs for me but VR gave it a bit of rawness that wasn't there before and Slash jams out forever at the end...

The Pink Floyd original is perfect. It just seems like a pointless cover that misses the point of the original, to me. Just making a song more "rocking" doesn't automatically make it better, imo.

I do prefer VR's version though, and Slash and Matt just go for broke at the end of the song, I love it! Speaking of cover songs, I also really like the live version of Rock Superstar that "the Project", as they were called at the time (VR minus Scott) played with Cypress Hill on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show.
