Title: Axl and Ice-T? Post by: jameslofton29 on March 02, 2005, 06:21:24 PM I was watching Law and Order:Special Victims Unit last night and it made me remember something I hadn't thought of in many years. Does anyone else remember when Axl and Ice-T were supposed to do a remake of 'Welcome to the Jungle'? I don't remember the exact year, but it was in the early 90's. I know that it never was released, but since Axl hasn't released anything since then, is it possible that this song could still be released? Did they actually record the track? This wasn't just a one time rumour. It was mentioned quite a bit back then but when Axl basically disappeared, so did the talk about this song. Anyone else remember this or have any new information about it??

Cause I have to wonder how many minority supporters GNR had after that. I know that Ice-T and NWA seemed to admire Appetite specifically. But maybe that's just because singing about "The Jungle" is closer to gangsta rap than piano ballads are.

He said they had a thorough discussion about it, and Ice totally understood Axl's position. I used to have a magazine with a very interesting interview where the subject was brought up.
