Post by: jarmo on February 24, 2005, 01:09:51 PM
Operational Review

---

Two Sanctuary managed stalwarts ? The Who and Guns N? Roses ? had great success during the
year with DVD and album releases respectively. The Who?s ?The Kids Are Alright? topped the DVD
charts in the UK, while Guns N? Roses? ?Greatest Hits? album topped the UK album chart and was
a Number Two album across Europe and a Number Three in the US.

---

Music Publishing
We were delighted to conclude a deal to administer the publishing for Guns N? Roses? Axl Rose
which covers all of his catalogue as well the forthcoming Guns N? Roses album. Guns N? Roses
?Greatest Hits? album was one of 2004?s top selling albums worldwide.

forthcoming Guns N? Roses album....That sounds good. It still amazes me to hear Guns were one of the top sellers in 2004 with the greatest hits.
Thanks : ok:

I love the mix of optimism and pessimism. But at least a pessimist knows things could always be worse. LOL. But Im going to take the high road here and hope forthcoming actually means SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as in THIS YEAR!!!!

I know Im gonna get my heart broken if it doesnt but fuck it Im gonna be hopeful  :peace:

I think its strange that they don't use the words 'Chinese Democracy' in the statement. Possible title change?

The album title means nothing to people who read the annual report. What's more important is that they say it's forthcoming.

It appears there is some whisper of an album release, at least its in the air. I also wonder why Tommy, Dizz, Dicky, and Chris have been so silent of late. I wonder if the band is currently together, perhaps auditioning Big b's successor.

I find it interesting too. Coz Axl didn't use the words 'Chinese Democracy'  in his statement (letter for us) of RIR cancellation either. But he called it "the forthcoming new release".

Tommy and Dizzy have both reiterated that the music is finished.  There might be some vocals that need to be completed and who knows how long that will take, Axl's had years to write lyrics but maybe he isn't satisfied.  It seems like the album should be coming out soon based on the reports of Tommy and Dizzy, given that they both think the music is complete

According to Sanctuary, Axl recently has recorded dozens of tracks for Universal Music. As far as I know, publishing deals include lyrics. I don't think they'd mention unfinished instrumental tracks.

Exactly, this year has been promising if you consider that everyone from band members to Merck himself stating that the album is finished.  If its as good as the people who have heard CD has said, there is no way that they will shelve this album.  Coming in between Contraband and there supposed new album this Christmas, The spring, summer months will be perfect in releasing CD.
