Title: ChineseDemocracy v ContraBand Post by: ATREAL1_1 on February 22, 2005, 04:29:53 AM This is my first post, I dont know if this has been discussed before. I've read threads about Axl being jealous of VR, and someone said that if Chinese Democracy didn't outsell ContraBand, then it would basically end GNR. Well Im assuming that most of you have heard songs such as The blues, Madagscar, Chinese Democracy, Silk Worms, Rhiad & the Bedouins, and Oh My God. That's like half a CD pretty much. Let's say all those songs represent Chinese Democracy. How do you feel the songs listed compare to VR's Contraband?
When I first heard the new material i didnt care for much of it outside of The Blues, then I heard an excellent copy of GNR Boston 2002. Upon hearing that copy of songs I have a whole new opinion. I think there great. I for one feel those tracks would easily outclass most of VRs material. Slither is ok, Fall to pieces is great, but that's about it for me. OH, one more question, WHO HAS HEARD I.R.S??? I cant find it anywhere, if you have heard it, what'd you think????
