I watched all of last season but can't take the story line surrounding Kimberly (Jack's daughter) anymore.  Constant peril  ::)

My Favourite Show in the world at the moment.

The first series was the best thing on TV in years, The 2nd Series is due to start in England in March... Can't Wait.

And for the people that missed the first series BBC2 is replaying the whole series starting on January 13th i think

Last night's episode was awesome.  I love Nina - she is one evil bitch.  [hihi]

So, here's what I don't get, though (and I'm going to be VERY ambiguous so as not to give too much away).  What I would do is raid the place, remove the thing, but tell her it wasn't there, so she doesn't get what she asked for.  If she does what she wants to do, tell her she will be next....she either let's him get away, or she takes some of her own medicine.  Basically, you lie to the bitch.  Get my drift?

Yep, I hear ya.  I don't think what they're looking for will be there - wasn't it on the way out?  I can't write this without giving too much away - the people in Europe haven't seen any of this yet.

Her character might be stupid but when I saw her pictures in Maxim magazine I was like  [wow] [wow] [wow] [wow] [wow]

While there have been a few clunkers, I think the writers have about mastered the art of "The Cliffhanger".

Every tuesday night about 9:58 EST you are guaranteed to hear me shouting at the T.V. "No, you can't end it there!"

Damn - this show kicked ass again lastnight!  It always shocks me - awesome writers.

Also - the next show isn't until 2/4!

It is!  Lastnight's was the best IMO so far this season - 4:00-5:00!  Of course they're all good, but lastnight kicked butt!

The main characters who lived through last seasons finale are all back. Some will be a few episodes before they appear however.

Great season 2 episode tonight 7pm-8pm, although I think they went soft a bit with the trick video feed. I know it would have had alot of people upset if that really happened, but I think they lightened up a bit.

Good episode overall, better than last weeks. Looking forward to the bitch getting grilled next week. Although I'm sure she'll talk her way out of it.

Another great episode tonight, but again when they spend time on Kim's story line it just seems to me like the show comes to a screeching halt. Overall though this was one of the best of the new season, I think.

I wish they could get back to the storyline of Kim and the little girl (It's been so long I don't remember her name) and the parents. I thought that story line was interesting. Oh, wait her name is Megan, right?

It's gotten to the point where she is just there for eye candy for us guys ( I think she looked better last year) and this show is too damn god to have to resort to that.

On a side note, I watched "The Three Musketeers" saturday night and all I could think was "Hey there's Jack Bauer" whenever Kiefer was on screen.

Fox has renewed the show for another season. They aren't announcing who's returning yet, however, so that they don't let out any secrets as to whats going to happen in the remainder of season 2.

The way George got in the plane was ridiculous and that whole thing was stupid,seriously,did they think we didn't know Jack wasn't gonna die? Anyway,what was the disease George had?

on a lighter note.....how cute was Kim shooting that window of that car? if I were that guy I wouldn't mind if she shot me or anything. Also, how cute was Kim crying for his dad? God she's georgeous...I love her now even more.

My only problem with him hiding on the plane was that he is always coughing so damn much, Jack would have heard him long before.

Great episode again tonight, The scene with Kim was pretty damn funny. Kind of gave me an "About damn time" feeling. George was exposed to a large dose of radiation, thats why he looks the way he does. Again, I don't want to ruin anything for the people who haven't started season two yet so I don't want to be too specific.

BTW, Dot. Did you see that Elisha is in the new movie "Old School"?

Nothing explicit, but if you liked the bathroom scene in the fallout shelter, you will enjoy this. I just saw a picture of her on the web, I haven't seen the movie, so I dont know if you want to waste an hour and a half for it.

Well lets put it this way, I forget how fast those planes actually fly. Lets give him the benefit of the doubt and say they were flying at 200 mph (3.33 miles per minute). If Jack jumped out at 4minutes before detonation, the plane would only be about 13 miles away. Dont think he would make it. It's been awhile since I took my radiation class (seriously) but I believe that is definitely in the kill zone.

Every single critic/person says this movie sucks and by the looks of it,I bet it does...I won't watch it just for her,I'll see her in 24...in 3 WEEKS [crying] [crying] [crying]

Oh, and Old School was amusing.  Not the best comedy ever written, but not too bad.  Maybe it's cause my expectations were incredibly low...but it was way better than I expected it to be.

And the plane (if you watch the episode closely) travels at 240 MPH. That's roughly 4 miles per minute or sixteen miles from the impact zone.  Given that the impact was also in a depression (read valley) surrounded by mountains and he would most likely be protected from the blast by his distance and from the radiation by the protections the mountains would provide.  With a nuke, it's not the blast that creates the large killzone, it 's the dispersal of the radiation.  

And...I think that's it.

He is also in the new Collin Farrell(sp?) movie Phone Booth or The Booth, I don't remember the actual title. It was supposed to come out back in october  but since it deals with a sniper the studio thought it would be inappropriate to release with what was happening with the sniper in the Virginia, Washington D.C. area.

I guess they think anyone who lost a family member or friend, etc. will be over it by now ::)

Anyway I don't know if he will be seen in the movie but if you see the commercial I don't think I am giving anything away by revealing he is the voice of the sniper on the phone.

It actually reminded me of Kevin Spacey's role in Seven (If anyone hasn't seen the movie yet, I just ruined the big surprise but the damn movie is about 9 years old by now, you can only keep a secret for so long) As soon as they spoke to "John Doe" on the phone and I heard the voice I knew it was Spacey.

Whew, it's finally back. Not the best episode, but still pretty good. They basically used this hour to setup the final 8 hours. Again though, I wanted to slap Kim. Does this girl ever learn?

At least from what I've heard there wont be anymore interruptions. The final 8 episodes are scheduled to run each week with no breaks.

Sadly,I agree....Kim's plot doesn't add anything to the story,it doesn't even really have to do with it but don't blame her....it's the fault of the script writers.

There's one things I disliked about last night:

-why does always Jack ends up talking and sharing information with the wrong person? with the person involved with the bad guys...same thing happened last season.

Seriously, though, you're right. I've been watching over season 1 on DVD and her character was written better last year. They really just don't seem to know what to do with her this season since they just completely dropped the story line with Megan and her father.

BTW, where the hell is Nina? The writers are missing out on some potentially good scenes by not keeping her and Jack on screen. Those have been some of my favorite scenes of the second season so far. I still want to know what Jack whispered in her ear before she was led off.

-Yeah,they don't know what to do with her because theres really no way for her to become important for the story so they just try to put her in dangerous situations just to try and make her interesting...seriously,everytime she gets somewhere then something bad happens there or everytime she meets someone,that someone turns out to be evil...hopefully they won't kill her,don't think so because they already kill Jack's wife so I don't think they would kill her too and if they do,the show would be half over for me.

A good start to the final 8. A couple nitpicks though. I may be mistaken on these but it struck me as just being wrong while I was watching the show.

1. Last week when Jack attacked Tony, wasn't it Tony's right ankle that was injured/broken? This week he was favoring his left.

2. Did Jack get a haircut at CTU? I don't recall his hair having quite that "spiked" look (for lack of a better term). I know Axlluvr2 has Keifers' features memorized and will be able to help me on this one ;)

Anyway, I'm still a bit concerned with the weak writing/development of the female characters. Now Kate is reduced to playing the role of the victim every week like Kim. Last year there were well developed female charaters like Nina, Terry, and even Sherry. This has been sorely missing this season, in my opinion. Anyway still a good show tonight.

yeah, hardcore fan!!! sadly, being in England i'm only up to episode 9 (last night) - the one where nina takes jack hostage, crafty bitch. but it gets worse... we got a TWO week gap before episode 10. at the college i'm at there is a "24 crew" so to speak, about 4 of us, there every week, 10pm, tv room. in about 10 days were all going to one of our houses for a series one marathon. Start when series one starts... 8am i think, then i guess you can all work out the rest... shares in coffee and pro plus will soar!!!!!

Another great episode tonight(1am-2am). I don't even have any complaints about Kim! Much better writing. Since we seem to have some new people on the thread I won't post any spoilers. Finally had another "Can't believe they just showed that on t.v." moments that have been missing since the first couple episodes.

Season 1 or 2? i bought the DVD set of season 1 on Friday, started at midnight, finished 00:00am on Sunday morning...

the longest day of my life... well untill i get season 2. could be a while in the UK.. [no]

Tonight's episode looks really good!  I think the REAL writers from 24 got back from their Caribbean vacations a couple of weeks ago & said "WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU IDIOTS BEEN
WRITING WITHOUT US ?!?!?!" and proceeded to turn the show BACK into the 24 that I love ! [hihi]

I hope tonight's episode is npt as predictable as the last 2 or 3 and most of all I hope my sweet Kim returns otherwise I'll quit.

A great episode. Not counting the incident at Kates house, there was absolutely no action scenes but I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Well,I wasn't....I was right about what was happening to Jack, besides, it was pretty easy to guess that after so much torture and pain he went through, there had to be a side effect....I know one more thing, the bigger truth or what they are calling the final truth, thanks God I didn't tell you because that's on the finale....

I don't know if anyone else saw this but there was an interview with Keifer a few days ago  and he said that season 2 is going to end on a cliffhanger which will set up season 3. He also said that they are eventually working towards making a movie.

It's going to be a long summer.

If you go back at my first post this morning, I hinted at the coliseum because that was going to be the main location of the episode.

Then I said something about 7:13 being my favorite scene of the episode, now, what time did Kim arrive at CTU?

He is/was supposed to go to CTU and see his dad...and find out he had died,next season I guess.

Episode 2 looks like it might be up on Bit Torrent (www.suprnova.org under TV shows).  Not sure if it is legit or not.  DL'ing now, but speed is slow.... I'll let you all know when I find out.

Edit: It is, in fact, legit.  I've dl'd it and "previewed" it to make sure.  Quality is not great, but fine if you're going to watch it on you PC... :)  I'll be watching it, in full, tonight.

I just saw the ad for this week's show.  It is a 2 hour special and starts at 8pm rather than 9pm.  Glad I saw it or I would have been pissed that I missed an hour!

I read a month ago that negotations between Fox and BBC fell through after Fox asked for more money to show the 3rd series. It said that it`ll be open to other bidders - sky, Channel 4 and 5... heres hoping channel 4 get it! But that`ll mean we`ll get adverts with it and that was the good thing about it on the BBC!

I must get to see it somehow!

I know it?s incredibly late too say this but..I just watched the season 3 opener(i wasn?t able to do it before but someone I know has been taping all episodes) and it was good but here?s a few things I didn?t like: why is there always someone at CTU who?s involved with the bad guys? I thought I was watching The X Files all along the episode, all this deadly virus stuff reminds me of that show, I said a while ago that Jack is the new Mulder. Last but certainly not least, what?s up with Kim?s hair and with them trying to make her look older? and Jack shooting cocaine?

   Season 3 started a lot slower than the other 2 seasons.  It's now just as good.  Give it a buy (or a rent....Blockbuster will have it..or a download..www.suprnova.org has all the eps via bit torrent) when it comes out on DVD.  You won't regret it.  I can't think of a single thing I'd rather do if I had to spend 24 hours with my TV and DVD player....

This (meaning the current episodes) is what I love about 24...the progression of the story is just amazing.  I was thinking about it today..to get where we are now from where this whole thing started is just unreal.

I can't wait for Tuesday night!

"24" is, IMHO, the single best hour of television currently in production.

I can't wait to see how they wrap things up...the one and only good thing about the delay to Sunday is I only have to wait 2 days for the next ep.

Edit: Encores of last nights ep will be on FX (NOT FOX) over the next couple of days. Today (Monday) at 11 PM, and Tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6 PM.  Just in case someone missed it, or wants to see it again.

I think I found my continuity problem for this season however. Without giving away any of the plot for those who haven't started season 3 yet: At the beginning of the season Jack had a "problem" that pretty much consumed him, now he seems to not have this "problem" anymore.

Yup, ever since the brothers gave him that "shot", he's been fine.  Maybe it will rear it's ugly head in the next 5 eps to wrap things up.

Ah, yeah.  I forgot about that and it IS the same day...

i love 24 however i think the last episode was the most boring one yet. Nothng happened at all apart from a few convosations between tony and saunders. It was more of a push along episode than anything.

I don?t know how long it?s been since you saw this but....why in the world did they kill Nina? that in my mind is really stupid....she was the kind of character you could keep coming back to spice things up.....bad move in my mind.

If you thought last weeks was a good one, do not miss tonights episode. A MAJOR character gets killed tonight. By major I mean someone who has been on the show since season one.

Dot, Nina was one of my favorite characters as well. The story between Jack and her was so well laid out, it was tense just having the two of them on screen together. I hated to see her go but what a great scene when she went.

Yes it was a great scene...unnecesary to kill her but it was a great scene...one of those moments that leave you :o :o :o
If Was 24's director I would have made her disappear back when she escaped the Salazar?s when all that mess happened in Mexico, and then I would bring her back some other season.

I also liked Nina and was quite happy to see her back this season.  

Season 4 has been confirmed for a few months now. Who will be around for it will be determined by next weeks events. Its going to be a great ending.

The last two weeks were the perfect examples of why I feel this is the best drama series on tv right now. It takes something special to still get me to yell at the tv when I already know whats coming about 3 weeks ahead of time.

After a slow start, which was required to lay out the story, this has developed into the best season so far, I think.

Epiisode 23 was ace it really does show off what talents lie behind the makers of 24. Saunders  phhhf...... I really dont know how they are going to end all the latest actions there are so many miini plots that need to be finished and all within one hour.hmmmmm i think its gunna be amazing!!! YOu all know byu now that saunders has been caught by jack but thats not the end of it on vile of the virus is still out in the open will CTU resure the whole country within the next hour??? Of course they willl!!!

You might want to warn about spoilers in your posts. Some countries haven't started season 3 yet. Thats why alot of us are being very vague in our comments about each weeks episodes.

You are correct though, that was a fantastic episode, one of the best of all time in my opinion. It doesn't appear that everything will be wrapped up in the final episode. A couple hints though: Saunders comes face to face with a CTU agents widow. Someone is going to have to lend Chase a hand. President Palmer makes a sacrifice.

I don't know if I'm thrilled with the way that it ended.  :-\

The Chase scene was the best!  :o  I saw that coming with Saunders so that wasn't a surprise.  :-\  I kept waiting for something to happen in the last 3 mins though...

It was OK for me.  Not as good as S1 and S2, but OK.  It just felt a little too rushed.  Frenetic pacing in 24 is fine....but there was just TOO much material to cover in an hour, and it showed....It was almost like the writers were like "Oh shit...we only have 1 hour to tie up all these loose ends".

What really sucks is we have to wait until JANUARY for S4!!

They are also moving it to Monday nights as well, same time slot.

I didn't mind the ending. If I'm not mistaken this was the first season that the writers knew that there would be another season before they finished writing the current one. That gives a lot of room to leave things hanging for the next season. I don't think too many things were wrapped up with the finale. There is still alot of loose ends hanging around.

I loved that scene with Chase and Jack at the end. I knew what was going to happen going into the episode but still actually seeing it was quite shocking.

BTW, there was an article in last tuesdays NY Post that gave some details on who won't be returning next year. It could be a load of crap, but if anyone wants to know PM and I'll tell you. I don't want to post any potential spoilers for season 4 here.

Just a suggestion to the other 24 fans:

Check out "5 Minutes to Midnight" on Sci-Fi.  They should be replaying it.  4 episodes, 6 hours total.  Excellent, and if you like 24, I think you'll like it.

Going back to 24, man that Chapelle/Jack scene sure was cold, sad and just  :'( :'( :'(

The episode seemed like the ending of the show...all the character?s issues were coming to a close, maybe that?s why I?ve been reading all these things about 24 being a whole new show..a whole new cast it seems.

FYI, Reiyko (Michelle) looks like she's going to have a recurring role on CSI (on CBS) this coming season.  All the other regulars are NOT signed as regulars for this season of 24.  The producer has said we will probably see them in a few eps, but they will not be regulars.  No Kim, No Tony, No Palmer, no Chase (at least as far as regs go).  And, from the interviews, it sounds like Jack will no longer be with CTU.  Wonder what they'll pull out of their hat.

Also, I guess they just started filming or are just about to within the next week or so.

I liked it.  Asked enough questions to set up next season, but gave enough background to be satisfying and not just feel like another episode of the show.

What killed me, though, was it went by too fast.  2 hours just isn't enough after almost 2 years of waiting.  :)

I didn't think it was as intense as it was in the past, but I LOVED the African setting, and I don't miss the CTU portions at all.

It was cool, a lil anti climatic though.


Damn shame Powers Boothe has come out of the series. His character was a bastard! i loved him, he got me so pissed off per episode!

I haven't watched this show in YEARS, but I caught Redemption and I enjoyed it.

I wonder how the President is going to handle the crisis?

Yeah I think the season's going well and picked up the last 2 weeks.  If people just listened to Jack Bauer the situations would be resolved in 12 hours.  The show wouldn't be 24, it'd be 12.  It makes me so mad sometimes.  Then again, we get 12 more episodes so I guess I should be happy.

the new season is cool.

Although not as much action and pyrotechnics as seasom 6 which is a shame.

Then again that might happen next episode!

I hope that greasy looking white guy at the gates in Songala on the Redemption intro movie this season gets involved somehow. 

The video footage with Juma having the knife to the president's daughter brough up a bad image of a beheading I stupidly watched on-line a while back.  Damn that's horrible stuff.  :'(

Did anybody else here laugh when thinking they casted the prez and vp to be very much like Hillary and John Edwards?  Methinks the writers were anticipating that ticket.   ;)  I'm glad they were wrong!!!

Jack saved that scene though by saying, "the next time you have a gun pointed at me, you better be willing to pull the trigger".  Or whatever he said.  He's such a badass.  Renee did give it right back to him though and let him know she was prepared to shoot him.

That's very true, and he really is. How's everyone feeling about last night's episode? Jack on the run. :-X I will say that this week I was rather proud of Renee.

Jack is much better on his own without that damn Larry Moss holding him back.  It's gonna be good.  Poor Bill Buchanan, a true patriot.  And yeah, Renee is getting better.  She's practically in Jack's pants already.

These last few episodes have been killer.. classic 24! it's great how everyone thinks jack is the bad guy!

mrlee, I won't give any spoilers, but holy shit!  Last night's episode was fucking awesome!  This season is so much better than last season, and I liked last season.  I love this season.

The evil hitman dude reminds me a bit of the chef from Hell's Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay.

Season finale this week   8)

I think the current season has been one of the best.

Agreed.  So many cool moments this year...you've gotta love the twists.  I have no idea what's going to happen in the finale. 

This season was great.

but season 6 did have some real good action scenes in which i felt this one lacked a little in. Compared to Season 6 anyway.

However, the twists have been great.

BUT, i saw that airport thing coming a mile away, it was obvious who was the real bad guy.

Which was a shame. Because at first I thought that they had teased another Kim in danger story, what with the first guy, but then swerved when we saw that Jack put the guy on her...

... But, no. Although, I did like the guy that was the bad guy. He reminded me of Marco Pierre White for some reason...

It was good..but a LOT of unanswered questions left at the end. 

I know next season is due to be set in NYC (and I plan to make at least one pilgramage to check out some filming), so it'll be interesting to see how they wrap up all the loose ends.

Last night was the 2 hour season finale.

What's incredibly cool is that...you can actually buy Season 7 on DVD and Blu-Ray TODAY.  That's the quickest I've ever seen a TV series have their season available to buy!

I liked it.  Stayed true to form.  I'm not exactly sure where they start next season.  They have a variety of options I guess.

My wife and I loved the season overall, and not to give any spoilers to our friends in the UK, but we were a little let-down by the finale.  Leavin' the audience hanging is cool to a certain extent...but at least throw me one bone of finality!    :hihi:  This season definitely blew last season out of the water even with the less than amazing finale.  (and when I say less than amazing, it's still A material...just not A+ typical 24 material)

btw, if anybody watches the season again, one of the lamest fight scenes ever filmed was when Tony took out the black dude who smuggled out the weapon.  Seriously, when you see it again you might have a good laugh as the guy lifts his arms up before Tony even grabs him by the throat from behind.   :hihi:

now, do they let Jack die and have him be the Obi-Wan Kenobi to Renee Walker next season?   :hihi:  j/k.

I loved the Chief of Staff Ethan...great actor, great stuff, I hope he's back next season.  Aaron rocks too.

well, from an interview I read, renee's character's past is going to come to the forefront-and i would speculate it has something to do with the guy from her last scene (don't want to give anything away)

i also read that other guy lives (gain, not trying to spoil anything for anyone)

I have a pretty strong inclination that the other guy will indeed live on.

left everyone feeling frustrated and wanting the next season straight away, great idea, and an awesome way to end it when you know there is another season

I thought that the season was pretty good, overall, besides a few predictable storyline repeats.   minor spoilers...I just didn't like the last episode, because I felt that Jack should have just died and it would have been so much more shocking and a great ending, but instead they have to drag it out more now, and bring Kim back (who is hot, but is probably the most annoying character ever.)   Also great job Tony Almeda, you finally get that guy and then wastes time for 5 mins talking till Jack stops him.  I loved all the double crossing though.  I'll probably watch this season again.   

i actually prefered season 6 when it came to action scenes. it was loaded with more violence and chases n shit.

I felt this one was a little tame.

but it did make up with some of its earlier story lines n twists. shame it sort of flopped towards the end.

it was much more exciting with dubacu n all that.

The problem with the finale was you knew what was going to happen and how it was going to end.  You knew Jack wasn't going to die since it was already reported that he'd be back for one more season.  It would've been much more suspenseful if there was a chance he'd die, but you knew that wasn't going to happen.  You knew 10 episodes ago that Kim would come back in the end and save him with the stem cell operation.  They did kind of leave a cliffhanger though, usually they wrap everything up at the end of the day and tune you in to what lies ahead.  Not sure how they're gonna tie everything in to next season.  I doubt they'd pick up right where they left off, those people have to sleep sometime right?

Alot of series are like this. The producers and writers place more emphasis on setting up the next series.
