Hi there, first time posting here....

this appears to be the most popular GNR board I could find so here I go.... (this may appear as spam, but like the title says...)

I have an original VHS tape of GNR doing Appetite For Destruction rehearsal before the album came out. There are no duplicates of this video tape, I know exactly where it came from. Its a full tape, shows them doing sweet child etc.. over and over, messing up, trying to figure out how to dance, etc...

Its a gem. Someone could make a pretty good video out of this.  : ok:

Was thinking of putting it up on ebay, wanted to see what anyone though first....

If you do have that video, I would suggest you capture it and post some screenshots here (you can PM me if you need help to host or post them). That way, no one could bash you and we'll be able to talk about something we know exists.
If you don't wanna/ "can't" post screenshots of that video, there's a good chance it does not exist.

np on those screenshots... i will just have to hook up a vcr to my pc somehow. i can figure it out. give me a couple days...

Leave the lights off, turn your tv and take some pics with your digital camera. It's easy and quick. If you don't have a digital cam, use the regular one and a scanner. If you can't do it, forget about it.

just a recap, this is not from before appetite for destruction came out, im sorry. its from 8/2/87... almost 2 months after the album came out. It was filmed during the making of the "welcome to the jungle" video. They rehearsed the whole album, i think twice on this tape. They did "welcome to the jungle" a few times and kept screwing up. I was wrong before when i stated, "sweet child of mine". I had it wrong, been awhile since i watched it.

Sounds really facinating. Is this a privately recorded tape or the video crew's out-takes from the actual shoot? Looking forward to hearing/seeing more.

privately recorded. There were a couple other people with cameras on the set.

We don't know yet, we're still waiting for the screenshots.

If this video has been taken february 8th 1987, it means before Appetite For Destruction release 'cause it's july 21th 1987.
Anyway, this video seems to be really a "must have" for any Guns n' Roses fan!!

8/2/87 was the US date format, so he meant August 2, 1987... ;)

That video sounds amazing! How did you obtain it? I've been collecting GNR vids for 15 years, I've never heard of such a gem! Me wants!

He emailed me N' said hes been crook for a while and that he couldnt get the photos done, but he recons they'll be finished in a few days. And he says that its all authentic.
