Title: Live acoustic NR Post by: benny on February 06, 2005, 09:07:59 PM I downloaded an acoustic live performance of Novermber Rain which had jsut a guitar and vocals. At what show and when was it performed this way?
Title: Re: Live acoustic NR Post by: jarmo on February 06, 2005, 09:13:23 PM I think that's a "demo" version.
There's also one with just piano and vocals. /jarmo Title: Re: Live acoustic NR Post by: gnrvrrule on February 06, 2005, 10:21:51 PM Jarmo, maybe he's talking about the November Rain performances on the Skin N' Bones tour in '93? Because in these shows, the first 80 percent is just Axl on Piano and Slash on acoustic guitar, and then the end is the whole band again.
Title: Re: Live acoustic NR Post by: Captain Obvious on February 06, 2005, 11:07:11 PM I think I have the same one you have. Its just a guitar and the voice. Axl sounds like he is singing from the grave with this spooky voice. Never liked that version.

Title: Re: Live acoustic NR Post by: 0lorin on February 07, 2005, 05:35:07 AM No they're not. I have the piano demo and the accoustic demo and I also have live versions with axl at the piano and slash playing accoustic, the last part of the song, the " your not the only one part" - the whole band kicks in again electric!!
I also have a superb performance where again its just axl at the piano, but slash uses his electric guitar instead of the accoustic, much better in my opinion, when he done it accousticly he seemed to go out of time occassionaly, it was still a nice bit of impro' though. " .... the song is pretty good actually. i like that version. Title: Re: Live acoustic NR Post by: Dust N Rose on February 07, 2005, 10:27:12 AM Yeah especially the extro is very emotional.

Title: Re: Live acoustic NR Post by: estrangedpaul on April 02, 2007, 05:00:54 PM This is a cool bootleg from Hartford 93 which includes the just Slash on acoustic and then the whole band and electric at the end from skin n' bones. On the bootleg I have, the November Rain outro is listed under the following track - Mongoloid. It's a cool gig, with various acoustic songs. Slash plays Whole Lotta Love and Sanitarium in the intro to an awesome Double Talkin' Jive. My favourite part is when after Dead Horse, Duff starts the playing the intro to Coma, and Axl goes "Fuck You!" Duff keeps playing and then Axl says "We'll do it if you can sing it."
