Check this article out, it's QUITE interesting.  It's about a girl who meets Axl after the 11/22 Pitts show on the 2002 tour.  He talk's about liking Dave Matthews and how the fans didn't get it (meaning the new band).  Overall it's a really good read, check it out.  He even goes into detail about how Buckethead was such a "Great Guy".

According to this girl Axl loves the big jewelry with all the platinum dawg.  I kind of liked the VMA style I guess he's really trying to inforce it.  Maybe Nelly-coco pop and Axl will do an album together sometime?

Yeah, I recognise some of the stuff too.  But some of its a bit weird:  why would Axl mouth off about GNR when he's so secretive about official statements?  Given his notorious paranoia/perfectionism (part of the same thing I think), why would he invite a load of people he didn't know to drink with him?  And how could Buckethead drink if he was still wearing a mask? 

Why stupid? To me, that sounds like pretty accurate and bold remark ;)

I remember reading it some time ago too. The part that seems the most suspicious to me is the large number of people who were supposedly invited backstage. If that had had happened in every city, wouldn't someone else have reported it?

Ahh I love people who think it is absolutely proposterous to think that someone actually talked to Axl, and that he was nice.  "oh my god, like I am going to beleive this, this person said they talked to axl, and since I never have, this must be a fake!  :'( ) 

So what if some of this information was in a magazine, perhaps that means it was accurate info?  It seems like no matter what, peoples first instinct is the scream FAKE!! Its as if no one has any trust in human kind anymore, someone has to have a DNA/stool sample of axl for it to ever be taken seriously. 

Could this be a fake, suuure it can, but there is no reason to think so immediately.  Its a pretty basic story.  Girl goes backstage, girl talks to axl.  Is he supposed to be in his basaement sharpening his nails and loathing the world?  Is it so hard to beleive that he actually talks to fans from time to time? 

One day you will meet axl rose, and you will be filled with excitement.  You will go on this messageboard and post your story, and unless you asked some amazing question that wasnt already discussed, not a soul will beleive you. 

I don't know if the conversation took place, but the girl has photos of her backstage pass. She clearly was able to get back there.

From what I remember, girls had an easy time getting back there on the 2002 tour.

I would say that most people didn't get the new gnr.....I was at the show in Toronto in 2002 and people were asking where slash wasor said "why does Slash have a bucket on his head. I guess the main stream people have no clue what was going on. People though because it said guns n roses that it was the old band. I was like, man I guess people get board and just go out to concerts and know tnothing about the band, except for the true guns fans. Which is sad. Also the media said that in vancouver axl's plain was broke down. Well I saw an interview on much more music and tommy and dizzy said that night Axl was in the sky on his way to Vancouver and that they shouldn't have canceled the show. Now that sounds like the truth to me!!! I think axl get feed up with clear channel and said fuck you, I'm done with this shit! And I have seen other post that say that the tour was a bust in 2002 no sell out, well at the ACC in toronto it was sold out and it was great! Same with the next night in London, on. I think the band was getting bad press, and Axl was reacting to that. I loved the new band and did think of it different then the original line-up. But some people just can't let go of the past!
