Wouldnt it be pretty cool if Axl staged a C.D. RELEASE premier, similair to how they premier movies before the
actual release date.

Red Carpet and all....

Basically everyone would just sit down and listen to song by song in a huge movie theatre , while Axl gave a little background
on how the song originated, etc.

Axl has met enough famous celebrities and musicians that wouldnt miss something like this.

It would huge in the media...and the buzz around hollywood.

I think Metallica did one for the Black Album back in 1991, dont think Axl would even consider doing it but who knows.

4every dumb 1 post wonder that spreads a rumor there is 2 dumb post that says CD will not come out or Axl is afraid to release CD.

You'd order your meal, then, for the next 7 years have someone tell you it is almost ready.

that would actually be pretty cool.. celebrities go to the premier, then the next week they go on talk shows and get asked "you were at axl rose's premier thing.. how was that?" and they'd (hopefully) give good reviews and maybe it'd give more publicity to CD..

I don't know about a 'preimiere' where the cd is played
but a album release party would be kick ass...  : ok:

I thought on most of the major releases they throw premier for the parties concerned.

They'll most likely have something like this for music journalists and such, but can you imagine the level of secrecy?...The Island rep. for the new U2 had the damn album in a briefcase handcuffed to his arm.  Axl will probably hire secret service to strip search everyone, while using bio-metrics and retinal scans to ID everyone....I bet Axl presses the albums himself in a warehouse and has tommy distribute the record to all wholesalers...I could just see journalists huddled up in Axl's studio, sitting in the dark listening...

Well, it would be a good idea...But I don't think Axl would do that kind of thing...don't seems possible to me, but who knows...

It's actually a great idea, but it could never happen. I'd really like to take the same idea, but have the Axl and the band to do a show with Kurt Loder where they talk about each song before playing a clip or whatever...

The other day I was driving along and I started getting flash backs to a dream I had had the night before. And as little pieces of the dream came through the full picture emerged. I had this dream of a CD launch party, it was low key and held in some night club located in a basement of sorts. The whole dream had 2 levels to it, level 1 in the dream and level 2 a sort of outer body type thing going on. The place (club) wasn?t all that packed and I?m like sitting there and I?m holding this compact disc case. It was a slim sort of case (opposed to the usual fatter cases) and there didn?t appear to be much to it, it was all very black and my attention was drawn to some white lettering that appeared to be melting into the lower half of the case. After some time I opened the case and was looking at the cd inside thinking, woo this is it, I have it right here. Then the dream turned really weird, my attention was drawn away from the cd and to the large box it was removed from. In the box there were all these bright colours, the colours were glowing so bright in a neon sort of way. There appeared to be toy cars wrapped in plastic stuck on card. I was thinking this had some sort of weird Buckerhead link to proceeding. Lots of toys. It seemed a bit weird. Then I was thinking to myself, all this fuss, what about the music?. Then my attention was drawn back to the cd I was holding. Then I wanted to simply play the cd (not that I was armed with a cd player in a club). Then I took the plain orange cd out of the case (there was no writing on it) and I am holding it and then this music starts to play. Then while my mind was thinking this is going to sell lots of copies, the music I am hearing wasnt so great. It was a high pitch sound and I was left wondering why there were no guitars, no drum and no singing  [d-r-e-a-m - o-v-e-r]
