- The GNR-online website in the Google cache has gone back from April to February - Both Tommy and Dizzy said that February would be the month - The announcement about the publishing deal - If they announce the album in February that would mean that the album drops in May/June which would be the perfect timing commercially wise - Dizzy and Tommy both stop their tour in mid-February Plus my gut feeling says in February things will happen? : ok: . I will get bashed for this, I know. But this is the first time in the last year that I actually think there are good things ahead regarding GNR, and I'm quite the sceptical person. tommy said this last year, parts of it has happened already ?:smoking: As we propably knew, he wanted to do some solo touring in February, but it wasnt a done deal, coz Axl needed him as well, so it would sort of be on and off with the tour and with GNR. When the ball starts rolling sometime after new years, everything will happen. Videos, interviews, a new and updated website. They will be making videos for sure and be on tour. I also don't necessarily believe that Guns will wait to release their album until the summer or wait until a different popular band isn't releasing an album or until the PLanets align or whatever. When Axl is done fucking around with the mixes then he'll release the album. Obviously something is holding up the progress and obviously it's not Tommy, Dizzy, Pittman or Brain. Because they are all off doing their own thing. In fact the only ones you don't hear much from are Robin, Fortus and Axl. Maybe they have been laying down new guitar tracks and vocals, maybe they have been playing GTA, maybe Axl has been arguing a new contract. Who the fuck knows really. But when its due, trust me, we'll all know about it, and, until the announcement is made it's all guesses, and if you are banking on Feb. I think you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Judas Priest and Black Label Society both have albums coming out in march-and both singles are all over the radio. I hope with the rest of you that the album is on the horizon, but its been over a decade since I've seen a new GNR album-so I dont hold my breath. I agree its pretty unlikely Sanctuary would have handed over $10m without hearing the tracks and being satisfied they are mostly complete, but this doesn't mean the album has been handed over. I get the impression that Tommy and Dizzy will return to the studio after their respective tours, but again thats pure speculation...they could equally return to assist with preparations for the launch. If they are returning to the studio, I doubt their will be an announcement. the signing of the publishing deal can be emphasized enough as a huge step in seeing a new CD. It's confirmed that this was a long, and lengthy process for Axl and Sanctuary to agree on. We all knew there were some "legalities" that were holding up the record. Axl actually signing this agreement is a sign to me, that he is finally at peace with the new music they've recorded and is committed to releasing it.
