Title: how many Modes? Post by: gtaxe25 on January 16, 2005, 11:15:44 PM At this moment at trying to learn everything about the 7 modes. I would like to know if the stuff that I've learned so far is correct.
- the remaining 6 modes are referenced by the major scale(first mode). - Since there are 12 keys to form major scales, avery key has 7 modes which multipy to be a total of 84 different sounding scales. Is this correct? are there any other scales that i can get some more modes out of? Title: Re: how many Modes? Post by: Genesis on January 17, 2005, 08:25:28 AM Yeah it's correct. Each scale (not only major) has its own set of modes. That means minors, blues, pentatonic etc. (Which by the way, amounts to a lot of modal patterns!)
