7. Why do you think Jani Lane quit after only 8 shows into the Bad Boys of Metal tour? Allegedly, Jani told a fan last month that he quit because you were mean to Steven Adler. Do you think there's any validity to that? Or is that just the drink talking?

We all know about Jani's problems and what kind of guy Jani is. I tried my best to accommodate his lifestyle to make the tour work. Unfortunately I was not successful with him. I don't know if anyone could be. I myself have had a lot of past experience at shall we say "living the rockstar lifestyle" so I can tell you he didn't sleep much and enjoyed a liquid diet. That wasn't my problem because I did my show and he did his (well, sort of). As far as the comment that Jani supposedly made about my being mean to Adler, let's just say that Adler's behavior was such that we could have all been arrested because of him. Because of him we missed a show. Aside from my personal feelings about him I think that when someone's addictions and stupidity can infringe upon mine and others freedom or lack thereof and affect our earning ability, I take issue with that. And I did so very aggressively. And what does my dealing with Adler a.k.a. "Corky" have to do with Jani Lane staying or leaving?

Steven did accept the drugs that was given to him by 2 fans rigth in my face near the tour bus after the Long Island gig

So!!? Just cause he took them that doesnt meant that used them.? Maybe he didnt want to bum the guys out by saying no to them so took them and then gave them away.? I bet if it was Slash or Duff that took the drugs, you would be sitting here saying 'Yeah man my mates gave Slash drugs and he took them and he is like so cool'.?

I think the real truth is that Steven wanted to save the life of that two, so he took away their drugs.  :o

Fact: Steven was still using drugs and alcohol while dubrow was on that tour with him.  : ok:

i read somewhere it was weed. so nothing that bad. i am abit concered that he seems to be still a casual user, simply because generally when you get off drugs you go completely teetotal ala aerosmith. but then slash was a heavy drink right through snakepit supposedly, so hopefully adler won't relapse massively

I think that Debrow's statement is valid enough reason to conclude that "Corky" used them. Regardless of what one fan may think, the cool thing to do would of been not to accept the drugs in the first place. A gut who suffered a drug induced stroke should never be near any drugs.

 And in reference to your comment about Slash and Duff . Well there was in incidient not to long ago where somebody had place a small bag of coke ( I do believe) in his jacket. He found it later and rather than doing it he threw it out. Now that's cool.

Yeah interesting you bring that up cause I do believe that Slash technically died a couple of times due to drugs and alcohol but I guess since its Slash then its ok that he still drinks and smokes drugs.

 
What interesting double standards you have.? Adler accepts some weed and you assume he smoked it.? Slash gets some coke and yet you presume he chucked it out.? What a load of bullshit - you are an idiot.  ? :rant:

On a side note, Matt Sorum is now 'hard' drug free but still enjoys smoking weed, he admitted in a recent interview.  It does happen.

Sorry Falcon i can't find the exact interview at this time.  It was either through this site or the main unofficial VR site that i found it.

It was a brief radio interview from about 6 weeks or so ago and was conducted by Billy Morrison of Camp Freddy.  Matt was in Florida for a VR show.  He was talking about how Florida had the best looking girls and the best weed!  I was quite surprised that he mentioned it which which is why i brought it up in this thread.

I'll have another look for the file but i'm 100% certain on this. 

Steven has admitted that he smokes weed sometimes still, but he leaves hard drugs alone.  It's not good that he's on weed though, because he's alread damaged hius reputation enough in the past.

Dubrow isn't the first person who's worked with Steven that never wants to work with him again.  I hate to say it, but Steve may be a lost cause.  I saw Adler's Appettite last week, and it was pretty obvious Steve was f-ed up on something.  He messed up pretty noticeably a couple times.  It was sad...still a good show, but sad to see him that way.

to be honest rob i've been following AA since new year and you're genuinely the first person i've read on any site who has noticed adler fuck up anything playing wise at a gig. when i saw them live he was on the money 100% for the full time.

I saw him once before and I didn't notice him mess up.  But this last time he messed up pretty noticeable a couple times.  Everybody has there bad days though.  I just hope it was that instead of him being f-ed up on something.

there was no presumption involved. In an interview, Slash said that someone had slipped him some coke on his birthday, and that he just wasn't interested and found it the next day and tossed it. Not to say he never does it any more, but  i take this to mean that he doesn't indulge in hard drugs anymore.
