Title: Axl on Chinese Democracy... or something?
Post by: StoneTempleRoses on December 29, 2004, 03:36:35 AM
On the gnrstrip.com this was said:

CHINESE DEMOCRACY ---> Star NOW--- Yeaaahhhh >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

AXL KICK ASS...Motherfuckerssss " By HBK

Then that translated by Kay was:

"What the post says in English is

These are the words of Axl Rose after being questioned by a journalist with the question of the million ?when will the new disk be finished??
The singer of Guns N Roses was in the crowded festival of the birthday of the brother of the dead Shannon Hoon, when in the entrance was assaulted by a journalist (the remainder? were interviewing to Dave from Navarre and Carmen Electra, for which themselves did not they notice of the arrival of Rose). After receiving the question, Axl began to shout ?you are all some screwed fucks, and if not ready the disk has been up to now has been? for your fault. Yes the album Chinese Democracy is already finished? in this way and the remainder of the press lending him all the attention? (would be a manoeuvre) explained that did not have thought to make public still, but the disk will be in stores at the beginning of the year, and concluded: ?Hearing the material already produced, I can assure that it?s the best disk of Guns N Roses with a vast difference?

That?s the best job I can do"

What does this mean? Is it new or old?

No source at all has been given here or at the gnr strip forum, so I don't believe it at all.

Two things to keep in mind, this article is written in spanish.  As far as I know Axl doesn't speak spanish, so his (supposed) interview was not only translated into spanish, but also quite possibly his message was changed as well.  So what we have here is someone taking a qoute from Axl, changing it to spanish and how they understood (or how they wanted to present) what Axl said.  While I want CD as mush as anyone else, I'm not going to overly excited over this article that lacks any source or citation.  Maybe someone can find the birthday of Shannon Hoon's brother and maybe we'd have a date to reference this interview by.

Shannon hoons half brother is named Tim...

was it? I don't remember. what I quiestion is what Dave and Carmen was doing at his birthday? if Im not mistaken, Tim is still a Lafayette resident, and that kinda makes you question if Axl would be there either, or what?
too many questions to be asked here, don't believe this!

Without a reliable source, this probrally is bullshit. I don`t believe anything I see from another mesage board due to past evidence.

I can understand the translation might be slightly off, but how about naming who the interviewer was, who did he works for, what date did this occur, any photos from this event? WHere`s the papparazzi when you need `em? If there were other celeberities there beside Axl you woulfd think one of these journalists would have thought to bring a camera.
