Title: The rythmic = The key of success
Post by: nesquick on December 28, 2004, 08:57:08 AM
I re-listened to Appetite from jungle to roquet queen and do you know why this album is so good?---> because of the RYTHMIC, it's just mind-blowing. It's not only the guitar riff but the way they are played. This album is in constant movement, every 2 seconds there is something new, a change in the guitars, or in the drums, or in bass lines or in Axl's voice. But there is something magic in Izzy's rythmic. can't explain that. What an amazing album... I think it could be the greatest Rock album ever.
Now for "chinese democracy", I discover that Richard Fortus will have a lot of responsability. His guitar playing will be one of the key of the whole album. The guy has a lot of responsability.

It's pretty rare, but this time I agree with you!

I never tought that Izzy makes good lyrics like some people say, but in fact he 's a great rythim guitar player...

Not the greatest album ever because Led Zeppelin released LZ IV and Physical Grafitty, but it's great. You made a great point: the constant movement.

Now, I don't think that Richard got so much responsability, all the AFD songs are guitar based, but seems CD (like the Illusions did) will be a little more diversed.

Patience is a good example. ;)

He has much responsibility if the guitarists remain two or you may mean how much he contributed to the album.

I'm sorry but LZ IV and PG don't even come close to the greatness that is AFD! Those albums are full of filler.

led zepplin blah blahb lahb blah blah blah fuckin blah blah blah

please! i dont understand the led zepplin arguments at all.

a led zepplin greatest hits album doesnt compare with appetite for destruction in my opinion

which is why i hate the whole "CD will be axls LZ IV"

maybe i just dont understand or havent listened to it enough or maybe LZ have been so bastardized by every cover musician imaginable like lynyrd skynyrd but u couldnt pay me 10 bucks to listen to an entire LZ album.

In my opinion LZ's albums are better, any problem with it? I don't think so...

My post wasn't even about this shit, was just a comment... if you don't understand these arguments, I don't understand the "blah blah blah fuckin blah blah blah" arguments too...

Don't worry, I'm absolutely a fan of Fortus. I know what he is capable of. I know his potencial, he is amazing : ok:
If I were Axl, I would give Fortus most of the guitar playing, both on the album and Live on stage.
Besides about led zeppelin, I also think it's an overrated band. They are great ok, but now they sound old. Their music is great, wich is the most important, but their sound is really like a pre-historic kind of sound. Even remasterized, their stuff sound old.

AFD's sound is timeless, enough said.
