Not by a long shot. Better in technics? Possibly, at least he can shred a bit, but then shred was't really done in Jimmy's day. Slash is probably better when it comes to soulful playing, if I wrote a ballad I'd call in Slash for some nice solo work! As for Gilby, not bad but not in the same league as the above mentioned.
