Members of IRON MAIDEN, ANDREW W.K., MURDERDOLLS, TYPE O NEGATIVE, DISTURBED, POISON, GUNS N' ROSES, AC/DC, ORGY, DANZIG, FEAR FACTORY, W.A.S.P., BANG TANGO, QUIET RIOT, BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, CINDERELLA, LYNCH MOB, DANGER DANGER, MINISTRY, MISFITS and GREAT WHITE are among the musicians that have reportedly been confirmed to appear a benefit concert on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at the Hard Rock Caf? in Beverly Hills, California to raise funds to pay for the surgery and medical treatment of Raven Nicole Robinson, a two-month-old girl born with a very large hole in between the right and left pumping chambers of her heart.

According to a posting at RavensHeart.org, "[Raven's] condition is called Ventricular Septal Defect. Large ventricular septal defects cause problems, as the pressure in the right side of the heart decreases, blood will start to flow to the path of least resistance. This leads to congestive heart failure and must be treated. The most important sign of congestive heart failure is the baby's growth.

"Babies who have significant congestive heart failure will have failure to thrive and will have difficulty maintaining a normal weight gain in the first few months of life. Such is Raven's case, at birth she weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. She is now [four] months old and struggles with every swallow; [Mother] Misse often feeds her with a medicine dropper and anticipates the usual vomiting that follows. Raven has just reached 8 lbs. At this point if it was Velvet Revolver, I don`t think they could be confused with GNR.

I mean the members of VR are better known then the members of current Guns N' Roses (except Axl Rose)...

As far as congenital heart defects go a vsd is not too horrible, it usually only requires one surgery. The poor mother probably has no insurance. If she is having problems vomiting she should be ng fed with reflux meds. i'll have to check out her website. PICU bills can be horrendous, my little Max-my patient who recently died and is the Axl Rose of the cherub choir had a 2 million dollar bill.

Wow, I own a child care business in St. Petersburg, Florida and this is great regardless of who shows up.

I hope the little girl is alright.

Happenin' Harry, if I'm not mistaken, is really closely related to Dizzy, so if it's not him it's gotta be someone in the new band anyway. Either way, like Jarmo said it's for a good cause and hopefully the poor little girl will feel better sometime soon!

One thing - all these musicians are millionaires - why have some benefit gig when they could just write a cheque each and thus give considerable more, once again rich indifferent people trying to appear otherwise.

It probably either means ex gnr members like slash or duff because most people have no clue a new band even exists, or it could mean vr, or the furthest which is kind of sad might be tommy or dizzy...

I think the chance of seeing axl is the same as me seeing jesus..

If you check the site, you'll see that her parents must know too many people in the business...

Anyway, it doesn't matter why, what matters is that it'll happen, and that little girl will have enough money to go through surgery.

Maybe he doesn't like many people, but come on, you can't say he wouldn't at least donate something for that poor little girl so she can get her surgery done and live like a normal human being instead of having to live in hospital most of her life.

Every possible time new gnr has a chance to do anything it seems like they never do, it's always the supporting members new and old doing something while axl is no where to be found.. It's a real sleeper.

Yeah it's kinda unfair that they're helping just one kid, because that money could feed half an Africa. But how come they know someone who knows someone and they still have no money for the surgery? You'd think... ah, never mind. It's good that they help her.

Excellent!  I have 2 very healthy girls and if that was to happen in my life I would be totally in awe!.  The gift of life-Amazing!   Entertainers are human! :-*  Kiding (of course)  You know,  It is really nice to see people with power making a difference to special (ordinary) everyday peoples life...Love it!-
