Title: GnR is dead - CD not going to be released
Post by: blues rocker on December 07, 2004, 06:59:25 PM
I suggest that anyone who still thinks or hopes that CD will come out should stop dreaming and spend their time looking forward to something more realistic.? It is obvious that CD is not going to come out....and if it does, it will be years from now and the band will not be together by then anyway.? after all the false release dates, rumors, and statements by band members, this band does not deserve our attention...this band does not care about us, so we should not care about them.

Your negativity is nothing new. In the past few days even this board seems to be turning in to a VR board. I personally will be taking a philosophical view on this. I loved GNR for what they once was. I also loved the new band but lets be honest the new band have not done anything bar play twenty odd shows. I truly believe if Axl wanted he could have the world at his feet even now after all the delays nothing would stop him from regaining his place in rock. I think Axl is unique how many of the top stars in the world simply disapear almost without a trace?
It is up to mad uncle Axl if he wants it its there if not we will get CD like smile in twenty five years. My worries over fretting every day if the album comes out are over. Axl has made it quite clear that he will do it on his terms and noboby else's and great. When CD comes out I will be the first in line to buy, if they tour I will be front and centre. I will not be spending my precious time worrying about it.
Its up to AXL plain and simple its nothing hard you go in a studio , write your songs express yourself and get the album out. VR proved this every other band that took a realistic amount of time to release an album prove this constantly. There are obviously more isuues at play here some that may never be resolved. Just relax and enjoy what they have achieved and the new stuff that they have played live.
