There are certain concerts where he comes out and introduces Gn'r, but the camera is always from a distance. When I went to the VR Chicago show a few weeks ago, it was so great to hear him. It reminded me of the Gn'r days, which is never a bad thing. He said "The band that puts the punk in punctuality, from Hollywood, California, VR!" Of course, it was because they were very late ;).

Sure he has every right to introduce them in the same way as he did with Guns, but just come up with some new material.
Also I don't see how him re-using an old Guns intro is akin to Robin playing a solo for Sweet Child O' Mine..... You might have an argument if Axl came on stage durring the 2002 tour and started ranting about how the band was over if certain members didn't stop dancing with Mr. Brownstone or going into a rant about Warren Beatty.
