Title: guns n' roses drug addictions Post by: groupie on November 11, 2004, 01:35:34 PM whenever you read a newspaper article about guns n' roses they always mention how they were heavy drug and alcohol addicts, so if any of you have any information about their o.d.'s and things like that I'd appreciate if you'd post a comment.

Izzy, Slash and Steven were addicted to heroin. Duff drank a lot, did cocaine, pills. Axl probably tried most of the drugs. Matt did cocaine. /jarmo Title: Re: guns n' roses drug addictions Post by: N.I.B on November 12, 2004, 08:43:47 PM Slash died in 1992 (I think). It's mentioned in the Behind The Music. Btw, Matt said he did much more cocaine than Scott. I cant remember were I read it but I remember Izzy saying that like in 1990 or in 1991 he was being watched closely by the police, they wanted to find him taking drugs, and then once Slash came to his house with a lot of... er... how is this thing called?the thing peopole use when they do heroin, well he had a bunch of that things and Izzy had to kick Slash out because if not he would be in jail! Duff pancreas exploded in 1994, I read he used to drink a galon of vodka a per day, that a lot! Well, 2001 Snakepit tour was canceled because alcohol gave Slash a heart attack. And heroin, cocaine, pills , alcohol, pot was allways aroud them. Baby Slash// Title: Re: guns n' roses drug addictions Post by: Bad_Apple on January 05, 2005, 01:18:33 AM didn't slash like OD 3 times d.t. drugs? and isn't "coma" about axl OD adventure?
Duff was an alchololic for most of guns carrer (ck out any interview with him---slurring the words...he said so himself he would drink a hell of a lot in one day)...Slash was mentioned to drink anyone under the table (and as I witnessed, still enjoys a few drinks now and again). As for Axl, I've heard him say he tried stuff....but who really knows how much and how often. I know Duff is sober now, and even refusses weed from fans. But Slahs is still hooked on cigs (please stop! haha)...although that's not considered a "drug"... Title: Re: guns n' roses drug addictions Post by: norway on January 05, 2005, 08:05:32 AM He was obviously "Clinically Dead" and then they restarted his heart. is clinicly dead that the heart stops? cause then there would be brain damage fast i hope all of gnr and x-members have a healthier lifestyle, since i think drugs is something you only do when you are young or in bad health, or best: -not at all : ok: slash said that even if axl wasn't into drugs as them, he was always the one who jeopordised the band, and i think axl did some 2, but wouldn't let anything controll him :hihi: Title: Re: guns n' roses drug addictions Post by: usurper on January 05, 2005, 10:36:36 AM Duff was said to snort 1/8 a baggie of cocaine everyday, he did speedballs *heroine and cocaine mixed* nearly everyday and drank more than Slash. Thats a lot. He also tried everything under the sun.
Axl has tried everything but was never addicted. He would not allow himself to be addicted. Slash has tried everything. Has addicted to heroine and cocaine by 1988. Izzy was the same as Slash. Used so much cocaine that part of his nose started to wear away. Steven. Best not go there. Matt Did too much cocaine. Not as bad as everybody else though. Dizzy Mainly Pot. Never addicted to anything. Title: Re: guns n' roses drug addictions Post by: Bad_Apple on January 05, 2005, 09:01:09 PM He was obviously "Clinically Dead" and then they restarted his heart. is clinicly dead that the heart stops? cause then there would be brain damage fast i yes, clinically dead is when the heart stops...and that's when a needle of epinephrine (think fight or flight people who know biology) is punctured into the heart (think pulp fiction)....it restarts the heart (or difribulator can be used---electricity). The brian would suffer at approx 5-10 min if no oxygen is being transported there via the pumping heart. Title: Re: guns n' roses drug addictions Post by: Genesis on January 06, 2005, 09:45:35 AM cause then there would be brain damage fast Not if they're administering CPR. |
