Yes now I do, maybe this time around something will be different, but I honestly feel they will keep the same setlist.. I definetly think if they play the 5 shows in one city they should mix it up.. I wonder if say madonna that plays  msg three times if she changes each show or figures each show is different people?

Either way you will get to have some good times, get to know some forum members, and see how strong the band can be..

Hopefully for you they change it up..

You should check slashsworld forum, they had a huge get togheter in the uk, the admin attila is from germany and he did somthing like you and they all had a blast and took some cool pics together.. I must say I'm jealous, here we had one show and it was only though a contest..

There were six of us at the VR show.

is there an easy way to get a hold of tickets to all three shows?

just got an offer from "Norwegian" btw, who flies to london for 350 NOK each way, about a $100 both ways, guess thats a pretty good deal!

I think the only way to get tickets at this point is to use Ebay.....

All three shows went on sale on different days, so there never really was an easy way to get tickets to all three at once.

I might have to stump with the quick hello as i will have a 60-70 mile drive home once show is finished plus i plan on being at the very front standing so i will be queuing earlyish. Got to be up at 6 next morning for work

On topic: Maybe we could meet on Friday or Saturday after the show and go out, Soho or something. I guess most of the people want to queue early to get to the front, so before the show might be a bit difficult.

i was in front the first time vr was in norway so i guess thats not that important this time, i would prefer a good view i guess, and i guess sosialising before the show fucks up the queuing  :hihi: ...

Shlump and I are up for the meeting. At least I hope we are. I know I am, but Shlump has a couple of friends coming along, and I'm not sure where they stand on the issue. I expect it'll be fine. I don't know the first thing about London pubs though, so...hm, I dunno where we'd meet.

I can't quite remember the name of it, but unless it has been done up in the last 3 months, there is a nice little drinking hole on the opposite side of the road to the tube station and about 100m from the left turn down to what will be a chapel for the day as we worship our gods.  :peace:

It had a green sign with gold writing.  :confused:

I am going to brixton gig on 21st, with Adz, his bird lives in brixton so he will find a good bar for us lot to meet up in.

Havnt heard much from him about it yet, but all seems to be going to plan.

Not sure, to be honest. It's been a while since I even mentioned this meeting to him. I think the plan now is that we go by car to Ealing, from Reading (so I'll be getting a train from Portsmouth to Reading first) and park, then catch the tube to Brixton, or something. I haven't discussed times with him yet though, but I'll give him a ring some time and ask about it.

Yeah, ask him what the plan is.  :P

I guess you'll be in a hurry to catch the tube back to the car afterwards. So there's not much time for anything other than a "hello" afterwards, if you don't make it to the bar before the show that is.

Last time I was with him, a group of us went paintballing, kindly organised by his fine self, but he managed to forget the tickets or whatever they were. Fortunately, the paintballing centre had their own list of people coming etc., and everything turned out fine, but I imagine it could be a liiiiiittle bit more tricky if he forgets the tickets for this.

Sounds like you really have to talk to him before..... ;)

I just rang Shlump, and he said he hasn't even mentioned this meeting to the two friends coming with him, but he doesn't think they'd want to do it, and to be honest he doesn't feel that keen either. Says he just wants to get there, go to the gig, and leave, which is fair enough, especially when you consider that he hasn't exactly communicated much with HTGTH for a long time. I'm disappointed, but...yeah. It'd be cool if you guys could meet up with us when we're actually at the gig though, just to say hi n' stuff.

Might be tough to do that before the show at the venue. Because everybody's gonna have their spots in the queue.

And afterwards you'll be in a hurry to leave with Shlump.....

I am new to message board type thing, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas where there is to go after the gig, I am staying in Covent Garden - someone mentioned Camden Sin City - any one been?

I went to the hammersmith show last time around and was blown away, seen GNR at Wembley and Milton Keynes Bowl - as well as Duff at the old Marquee and not to mention AXLs effort at docklands but for me VR was something different Very raw and much more attitude than previous gigs

Saw some kids drinking Grolsch in Brixton before the show. Then afterwards, the same kids were ordering Happy Meals at the McDonald's.....  :nervous:

anyone else see the old bald guy in retro grey tracksuit and yellow t shirt. He went insane when ACDC was played over the PA while they were switching the stage between the Datsuns and VR. He then spent the remainder of the gig right in the front grabbing random women and holding on to them. Haha

Just got back an hour ago, they ROCKED! Fantastic gig, great to hear "You got no right", also was Jarmo wearing a Tommy Stinson tee-shirt??

Oh yeah, and Jarmo, on the 21st were you wearing the coat you're wearing in the photo of you on the board gallery? With a dark bit at the top, and a light bit at the bottom. I saw a guy wearing a coat that looked like the one in the photo, and he looked about your height. Saw him when I was standing in the queue.

Did anybody notice Duff looking pissed off at something and giving somebody the finger at the show on Sunday? Compared to the Friday show, he didn't seem as happy. Less smiling on Sunday.....

Yes i noticed that, I could have sawn he was looking at me when he did it... oh well. I was stood near to Jarmo at the bar for a bit, had a feeling I recognised you!

Well Slash looked wasted when he came on stage for the first few songs and i got to touch him as well as Scott but go major crushed for the privalige also got kicked in the head 4 times by the crowdsurfers still waiting for my mate to mail his pictures to me cause he got some brilliant Slash ones my mobile wasnt up to the job really whens the next England tour i think ill go seating

I was really getting pushed around, 3 heads from front centre. Was fine for most of it, but after Its so Easy i moved back as I`d had enough along with the fact I had broken my nose a few days before didn't fancy risking it!

Seems like the crowds at the Hammersmith shows were a bit rougher than Brixton.....


On Saturday, a certain young moderator who's name starts with an A, almost got kicked out of Bar 38 because I bought him a Coke!  :nervous:

One of the staff even had to taste it to make sure there was no alcohol in it......  :beer:

Yeah, I was second row at Brixton and third row at Hammersmith. Hammersmith was pretty rough, a lot of pushing around. I had to get to the back in the middle of the set cos I was fainting. But I think the fact that I had been drinking for four days and didn't have that much to eat had something to do with it...

In any case, and even if my whole body is still aching, it was worth it. Fantastic weekend  :beer:

Which means that you look old enough to buy alcohol but AdZ looks too young to drink it...

I think it was the Carling we had on Saturday. Carling is evil.

That was a long "weekend". It started as soon as I got off the train on Wednesday and didn't end until Sunday.? 8)

This is a short list of the events that happened:

Friday: We met AdZ, Buckle and a few others at The Dogstar in Brixton. Since I was there with kids, the bartender assumed I wasn't old enough to drink. So I had to prove I was by showing him my Swedish I.D. card. He asked where the birthyear was, I told him, "it's the 75 there"..... Went to the show, ended up pretty close to the stage. Saw both opening acts. The Datsuns weren't bad, but Backyard Babies last September were better. VR did a great show and added "Bodies" as the last song which was a nice surprise. Duff and Slash seemed to be having a great time, both were smiling a lot.

Saturday: Met AdZ at Bar 38 in Hammersmith. I bought him a Coke and while I was in the bathroom one of the staff asked him if he was drinking. The guy even tasted the Coke to make sure there was no alcohol in it. They played MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This" on the tvs at the bar. Very amusing..... We went to the venue after the opening act had finished. Had seats for this one which was a good thing. No surprises in the set which makes this show the least favorite of the three.

Sunday: Graciela and me went to Bar 38 again where we met up with a few "non-board friends". After a while, winter_rose and her friends joined us. Two of them recognized my Tommy Stinson t-shirt.? : ok:

Once again The Datsuns did a good job as the opening act. VR came on and played a great show with a nice surprise at the end. A cover of The Doors' "Five To One". Duff seemed annoyed by something. He wasn't smiling as much as on Friday and he was even giving somebody the finger at one point.


Highlights: Meeting all the cool people, "Bodies", Slash playing behind his back, Duff & Slash at Brixton
Lowlights: Team America trailer over and over and over again for three nights in a row.
