Here Today... Gone To Hell!

I found this over at Velvetrevolverforum.com and I thought I would share it. I like the song and hope it does well on the radio. It has a really cool intro and good riff.

VELVET REVOLVER lead singer Scott Weiland recently told Launch Radio Networks that the video for the band's current single, "Fall To Pieces", which deals extensively with Weiland's struggle to overcome his drug addiction and reunite with his family, is his personal favorite of the many he's done. "I was afraid about how I would go about acting, 'cause I've never really done that," he said. "You know, my only fear was that it would either be really powerful or it would be really cheesy, and it's the only video that I don't have moments of embarrassment when watching it. It's the only video I'm completely proud of."

Weiland also said he expects the next single from VELVET REVOLVER's debut album, "Contraband", to be "Sucker Train Blues".

I was worried that they would chose Superhuman. Sucker train is easily one of the top 3 songs on the album!

Hope this is true..."Sucker Train Blues" is the clear choice for me.

why didn't they choose Superhuman or Headspace?

It's not my first pick, but I could live with it..

Meh i would have preferred headspace

Headspace is catchy and it would make a good single. But it gets tiring, it will wear off soon and they will stop playing it. Sucker train has more staying power.

I think STB is a fucking great choice. Rock Radio needs a song like that to kick it's fucking head in. Maybe some of these new bands will here it and take note.

This is a great choice, Fall To Pieces was a good song but to really show what the band is all about you need something like this that maybe from a commercial stand-point won't do great but from a personal point will show what the band stand for - decent rock n' roll.  If you were just going for chart success then Loving The Alien or You Got No Right would probably be the best choices but Sucker Train Blues would be mine so if this is true then it's great news : ok:

To me, STB is VR. Best song on the album, one of the best songs in years. I sure fucking hope it is the next single.

STB is the perfect song to be released as a single. Strange why they didn't offer it as a choice on their website though...

you can vote for STB now at the official site. The problem is the webmaster runs the site not the band. they are too busy for that

SuckerTrainBlues is awesome.  It is my 2nd favorite song behind Slither.  Sucker Train is flat out rocks!

I don't about modern rock, to me it sounds like it could fit in alongside the great rockers on UYI, but that doesn't mean it ain't a great track. I fuckin love the riff, its Slash in top form!!! : ok:

STB is one of the best rock songs I've heard in awhile. I'll be interested to see how it will fair on the modern and mainstream rock charts, being as it is a classic sounding RnR song. Definitley the best choice for the next single, IMO.

I rather them go with STB then play it safe with Headspace. Let's see if it's possibe for a classic rock song to have success now and days! should be VERY  interesting!
