Title: Invisible Users Post by: loretian on October 11, 2004, 02:43:28 PM I noticed under the "Who's Online" section, it states how many guests and members are online. It also said there is one hidden user. Does that just mean that one admin decided they didn't want to be visible to the rest of the board, and somehow toggled their visibility status or something? Just curious. Thanks.
Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: AdZ on October 11, 2004, 02:57:50 PM Yeah you can hide your status.
I don't know if this is a super cool moderator function or whether you can all do it. It'll be in your profile if it is. Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: Izzy on October 11, 2004, 03:24:53 PM What function does it serve - surely only the most paranoid and generally derenged person would sign into a message board and then want to hide his existance?
Maybe Axl kills those that are registered....oh no. OH NO! Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: Chris Misfit on October 11, 2004, 03:26:56 PM Or perhaps that person is sick of idiots PMing him when he's online.
Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: Jim on October 11, 2004, 04:16:19 PM Perhaps you're right, and the idiot is sick of it...
Surely it can't only be a moderator thing? That would be stupid, because it says if there is a hidden user on, and that would make it pretty easy to figure out who it was. Although, if it is, I'll feel special. Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: loretian on October 11, 2004, 04:32:31 PM Well, I didn't see any options for that in my profile setup, but I could be missing it.
Thanks for the info.? ?: ok: Edit: and I just checked again, and there it is. I think I'm too sober to be using the Internet right now. Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: AdZ on October 11, 2004, 04:48:09 PM Or perhaps that person is sick of idiots PMing him when he's online. Yeah, I'm sorry about that. Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: Jim on October 11, 2004, 04:58:42 PM I hope you fucking are.
Now I don't have to hide my status anymore. :) PS: Why did you quote Misfit? Don't try and fucking cover up your appology. Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: the dirt on October 11, 2004, 05:14:35 PM Or perhaps that person is sick of idiots PMing him when he's online. It could be tedious to deal with. For me, it's one thing to log in and run through a dozen (or dozens, depending on how long I've been off) PM's that people leave for me. I'ts usually people expressing their love for me or asking for my advice concerning just about every situation you could imagine. I even receive poems every now and then from people pouring out their emotions, very sweet some of you  BUT, when I'm on, and people realize it, that's when the PM's can really start to flow in. I appreciate it all, don't get me wrong, but it can get a little distracting. Anyway, i always try to get back to whomever quickly enough. Just don't send multiple PM's in one sitting, hoping that I'll get back to you sooner. Imagine if everyone did that! Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: loretian on October 11, 2004, 05:23:55 PM "Nothing, or nothing you can see..."
Interesting... jarmo, any chance you can make me an admin?? ?;D? I don't want the power (responsibility is baaad  ), I just want to read what you guys write about on the admin board.? Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: jarmo on October 11, 2004, 05:35:55 PM Admin board?
I don't need an admin board, it'd be boring posting by myself..... /jarmo Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: loretian on October 11, 2004, 05:39:51 PM Well, board ops board, or something? I assumed you had to have one, and that's what the "Nothing, or nothing you can see meant"
Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: jarmo on October 11, 2004, 05:44:03 PM Maybe we do, maybe we don't. :hihi:
/jarmo Title: Re: Invisible Users Post by: loretian on October 11, 2004, 05:46:03 PM Shit.? This is exactly what I was getting at.? I want to know!!? :'(? :)
