Post by: Sean is bored on September 27, 2004, 03:40:55 PM
What songs did GnR do unplugged?  Ive heard...

Knockin on heavens door
Mr Brownstone
Patience
Used to love her
You're crazy
One in a million
Dead flowers
Jumping Jack Flash
November rain
Move to the city
You aint the first

Any Im missing?

Hmm...does anyone know if video of these are obtainable?

What other songs have you wanted to see GnR do acoustic before?  Theres so many for me...
Sweet child of mine
My Michelle
Dont cry
Paradise City
Night train
Id love to hear an acoustic 14 years, Izzys songs seem to wirtten acoustically anyways

I tried jammin on Paradise city, and Sweet child of mine with my friends on acoustics, and it sounded pretty cool, except for my immense lack of talent, luckily rhythm geetar aint that tricky

I have the one album that they made at cbgb's in the early days..  I only know about that one gnr unplugged album, eventhough some of the songs you mention aren't on there

I've never heard of a video of the live recordings, it's cool though you can see songs like patience were done for like the second time..

I think you can still find it on www.thegunsonline.com As far as I remember it's somewhere in the forum with other GN'R rarities. (You have to register.)

Don't Cry

SOURCE: www.gnrontour.com (http://www.gnrontour.com)

xx.xx.86 - The Central, Hollywood, CA
set: Move To The City, Don't Cry, Jumpin' Jack Flash
audio/video recording?: video
notes: The exact date of this show is unknown. This is an acoustic set, without Steven! Axl mentions that it this is the first time they've performed 'Don't Cry' acoustically.

Apparently Axl wanted to:

"We do what we do the best that anybody does. Let's just go out and do a club tour, a theatre tour, and fucking get back down to where we have some validity with an audience that we can relate to. But Axl was all fucking.. he wants to be on MTV, he wants to do Unplugged, he wants to be this, he wants to be that. So we didn't see eye to eye, and that's where a lot of that bullshit got started, and of course it was blown out of all proportion in the press.

That might have been a cool MTV unplugged....
