Post by: sergejg on September 22, 2004, 02:37:56 AM I remeber buying user your illusion II on CD while illusion I only on tape. Recently I lost my old UYI 1 tape and wanted to get a CD copy for my car but all my friends have only UYI II on CD? isn't that weird?

Post by: November Rain 91 on September 22, 2004, 07:54:10 PM i think the songs on UYI II appeal more to people, they are more crowd pleasing, (i don't really know that that's the right word to describe it, but hopefully you understand what i mean)...which is not a bad thing, just people seem more receptive to them. many of the songs on UYI I aren't quite like that. i think you have to have a deeper appreciation to...well.. appreciate many songs on UYI I i can see why everyone tends to like UYI II better but i think i honestly prefer Use Your Illusion I (just a tad sentimental towards it, it was my first gnr cd and got me hooked)

Lots of piano, actually if they switched November Rain and You Could be mine it no longer would be balanced. But isn't it strange. there is no simple explanation for this, somehow II sold better.
