First CD was Much Music's Big Shiny Tunes 3...

First cassette?  I'm not entirely sure... If I had to guess, it would be Dookie.

offspring kicked ass back then but they became a novelty and have tried to make that their niche which sucks.

I absolutely love "genocide" off that Smash album, we use to cover that in a band i was in.

AFD was my first real album.
Before it, I only had few cassettes, recorded from cassette-to-cassette.

An LP with the "biggest hits" of 1984.

A cassette with the biggest hits of 1987.  It was called Now That's what I call Music...or something like that.

I think the first real album I ever owned was Michael Jackson's Thriller, also on cassette.

The first album I ever owned was Michael Jackson's "Thriller".  My mom bought it for me when I was five years old. We were at K-Mart, and I had to choose between a barbie or "Thriller".

The very first CD I remember purchasing was "The Monkees-Greatest hits" and I still remember purchasing it from CD Mart, I believe the first "CD" store in Kingston at that time :P

The very first record I ever remember owning was "Exile On Main Street" by The Stones. I adored that record then, so naturally rebought it as an album years later, and the sound quality isn't near the vinyl but this record is truly a timeless classic. Rumours actually said Keith spent countless hours in his basement trying to get the guitar work perfect on this record and it really shows within the superbly crafted grungy rock toons.

"Happy" is my favorite followed by "Turd on the Run" :hihi:

Yeah it was. My mom bought it for me when I was 6 years old. I remember listening to it constantly in my bedroom. At that same time, I also had that Bee Gee's disco shit and a record of that Kenny Loggins song from Caddyshack. Even at a young age I had such good taste. :hihi:
