Oh yeah? I haven?t ever heard of that.
I thought it was his ex-wife who claimed he was obsessed with that thought whereas her ex-husband denied it.?

But since someone has already brought up The Beatles, it may well be dead on a time for this topic to be discussed from the standpoint of the spirit .

Yeah..well if Bonham's spirit lived in Axl, Appetite and the Illusions would have been like a Zeppelin album.

axl have always said that spirit of jon bonam have lived in him.

Axl has never said that. He has, however, denied it on record in a court of law.

well,in 1991 many people said "november rain is stairways to heaven in 90"

So?

If they thought so, for them, it was.:coffee:

To me, at the moment "Stairway To Heaven" is all about the moral certainty that "(this)GNR is showing us How everything still turns to gold".

Anyway, I?ll find some Zep info related to this thread.

Rhiad and the Bedouins sounds a bit LEDZEPish to me.

Sounds like "Immigrant Song" was a big influence.

Led Zep doesn't have much industrial and electronica going on... :hihi:

Yeah..well if Bonham's spirit lived in Axl, Appetite and the Illusions would have been like a Zeppelin album.

Maybe it took him this long to harness the spirit of Bonham...

Axl Rose is not John Bonham,or Robert Plant,or Jimmy Page(that's Slash :))  Axl Rose is Axl Rose

I dont think we will be able to compare Chinese to any other album. I think Axl has been working very hard to make something completely new to the music  scene. I guess we all will have to wait to compare until we actually have CD

I agree 100% that Chinese Democracy is going to, in many ways, compare to the great Zeppelin albums. Mostly Physical Graffitti.

The best Zepplin cover would have to be Over the Hills and Far Away.

it depends on the version of the live song you got... I have two, and AXL's voice sounds awesome in las vegas 2001 :peace:

unless you call the beautiful 'cat in a blender' sound a horrible yell.....then ...I dunno what  I can do to help ya.
