For me they are:
1. The rich chocolate ovaltin commercials, those stupid chocolate milk commercials.
2. Deitech.com commercials with the fat mortgage salesman
3. Kids' products commercials.
4. Any Commercial with any used car/furniture/discount electronics salesman yells on the top of his lungs quickly about how low his prices are.
5. Ads for either Presidential candidate.

Also a special mention needs to go to an electronic store that used to be(although I think there are still some stores left as I prank called one last year) around my area?called CRAZY EDDIE'S.

The pitch was 'his prices are INSANE'...if store owner EDDIE ANTAR was making that amount of $$ from discount....couldn't he have been HONEST with the IRS and pay his taxes he owed for YEARS!?! I mean Jeez... Cool Commercials though, although they all aired before I was born.

My most hated commercial is the one for Skip & Steve Robins Brothers Engagement Ring store.? This pair of idiots have at least a dozen different commercials full of corny jokes and cringe-inducing plots. (Yes, they try to put a plot in it).


yeah, they'll yell something like "Chevy Auto dealer is going insane!!!? All our trucks have 0 down APR blah blah Hurry before this unbelievable offer ends!!!!!!"

I mute all comercials when I can. It's a rule in this house.... :hihi:

i cant stand that chiklets commercial with the jap kareoke. i admit it was funny the first time but enough is enough......

The Clairol Herbal Essence shampoo commercial gets on my nerves.  And, the Sunny D commercial creeps me out.

those insurance commercials, some are funny some are very stupid, the i saved money using geico i think it is. i hate that macy gray singin "walk this way" commercial, not many people can pull of singin with Mr. Tyler, she definitely cant!


commercials i love are red stripe and guiness strout *BRILLIANT* the levi's commercial where the dude takes his girlfriend flowers she lets him back in her apt. and he grabs his jeans and takes off before she comes back and she gets pissed and continues to throw his shit out the window! lol!


i usually channel surf during commercials.

Those maxi pad commercials really peeve me off... since when does blue blood drip from my crotch??  And how about the fact that they are now making no-noise maxi pads... so when you unwrap the package, no one in the bathroom can hear that you are *gasp* a woman who is changing her pad!!

i also hate those lebron james commercials where he is the chosen one and bernie mac is in church preachin about his court vision, i hate that gay  little song they play, it drives me crazy!

If I'm not mistaken is the lead singer of SURVIVOR the same guy also in those Bud Light Real American Hero commercials?

Makes me want to go to a nursing home and find the first person the resembles the bus driver and beat him untill I can't lift my arms anymore

She make me want to do something to myself till I can't lift my arm anymore. (She's not extra hot or anything, she just does it for me)

99 % of the commercials out there, I hate.

i think the only commercial i've ever had to run to the tv to shut off or close my ears/eyes is that dairy queen one with the guy who has the electronic mixer/masher tools "caught" in his tongue (i can't remember its name), and he and his wife start screaming bloody murder. holy god, how irritating!!!!!!!!!!  :drool:

Oh gawd... that tongue in a blender was f'in irritating indeed.  I saw a few full length versions of that particular ad, and a week later, the scene where the dude get's his tongue all tangled up was cut out... only his screams of agony were televised... I wonder if people complained or something... and that was why the commercial was changed??  Because it was pretty disguisting. 

i saw the edited version, too, and wondered about that. you still know what the hell's going on, but i wouldn't be surprised if people complained. the first time i ever saw it, i hated it.

Okay, I'm kind of bragging, but I never have to watch commercials anymore except during sports games.  Get a Tivo or something similar everyone!  It's completely worth it.  Where I live, it's only a $10 setup fee plus an extra $5 a month for a box, there's no reason not to get one.

Like youngerformofaxl, I hate pretty much all commercials too.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the Lenny Kravitz/Sarah Jessica Parker commercials. Seriously, there can't be a more annoying commercial. Lenny Kravitz pissed me off with the fucking target commercials but now he has to move to GAP to make some money. Ridiculous.

There was a commercial from the early '90s, and it had a bunch of white girls rapping on a basketball court about perfume. It used to annoy me. I only remember the end of the commercial when they say, "you know what I'm sprayin'?!" But, I can't remember what they were spraying. I wonder if anyone remembers the name of that badass perfume?  :hihi:

Jesus I'm damn sure the same just arrived in France ... I just hate when they translate commercials ... It's seems to be a rule w/ shampoo ... we have Oreal too w/ american actresses or models saying "Parce que je le vaux bien" and you keep reading on their lips : "Because I worth it"  ::) :P

But at least in France a film cannot be cut more than once on private TV channels ... I never succeeded to follow a film on TV in the US !  ;D

actually the editing in that was really good...I do like the 30 second spot though as opposed to the longer one.

As far as commercials go...any commercial put out by a drug company...you gotta a problem, take a pill.... ::)
I love the way they rattle off all the side effects really fast, and they way they cast "beautiful people" in all the ads...

The problem with the comercials you've mentioned is that they are so damn boring and ordinary. Agencies don't really care anymore as song as they get the desired" nike" "gap" or " Mcdonalds" account to name a few. Once an important account is signed, you will no longer be creative anymore. Besides, every ad on tv is trying to sell the same assets these days. The clich? "sex sells" is the biggest blasphemy in advertising these days. It's true sex sells indeed, but when it's overused to sell everything from car tires to fucking tylenol, you wonder what in the world has happened to advertising.

I do watch commercials on TV. However, I tend to pay more attention to print advertising since that's what I do. They are still shit. Every now and then you'll see an ad that's knocked off your feet and you go " wow, this is why I chose this profession" but it doesn't come very often.

The problem is, we are exposed to too many forms of advertising on a daily basis. Advertising has become annoying for most of us because it's everywhere you go. Even I get annoyed.

Anyway, I'm not gonna carry on cause I could still be typing tomorrow...

the nike (for nike shox shoes) one, where the guy runs after a cart and has a hot dog in his hand .... i think the music drives me nuts.

when i was visiting my girlfriend in october, her and her 2 roommates were so mad. i was the man, i had to rule the remote :) and i muted the commercial. i almost missed some of the premiere of Colbert Report because the remote was fucked up.

but hey, i really dont know how you do it in the us with all the commecials on tv .... it's insane ... i was watching some Chapelles Shows i downloaded - and the rippers get the commercials out - he says " we'll be right back " every 3 minutes ?! !! !

There is an ad in the Uk about Marks and Spencer's X-mas food range, so annoying!

The McDonalds commercials that have some dude talking in ebonics or rapping about a burger.

The iPod commercials with the dancing sillhouettes.

But I guess they accomplish what they set out to do...cuz among the massive heap of boring commercials, these are actually memorable cuz they are so freaking annoying.
