Just found out more info about "PURE." "PURE" is female. She is an entertaiment writer for the Los Angeles Times (she sent me a copy of the new Gwen Stefani single--not bad at all). She assured me that Chinese Democracy WILL NOT be released in 2004 ( :'(). However, she was recently guaranteed an appointment for a first listening of the album the week of December 13th. Because Interscope hopes that G N' R will have the first number one album of 2005, she believes that the album will be released the first week of January. The band will issue details on the album AND tour (all at once!!!) during the next few months.

Jarmo--this is one of the best music sites on the net. Keep up the good work! Maybe the band will hire you as an administrator when their site launches.

That's too much information: there must not be a lot of female entertainment writers for the L.A. Times. I mean come on, you gave her position, the newspaper she's working for and PURE's gender. It must be pretty easy to find her name.

How exactly do you know she is an entertainment writer for the LA Times. The fact that she sent you the new Gwen Stefani single, which im sure she isnt meant to do, is not really proof of that. Did this person give you any other proof, if not i think you should ask them when and where there information is coming from. If she is prepared to send you an unreleased CD then im sure she wont mind revealing where she is getting all her information from, and how accurate it is.

I know Tommy happen to mention that the album would be released while he was out.  Does this mean his mini tour in early 2005 is when CD is expected.  He really does drop a lot of hints towards the early 2005 release.  Maybe Sticky Fingers is a new member of GN'R dropping hints, but never really coming true.

Call me a pessimist, but I still have a hard time seeing how CD is going to come out before the co-lead guitarist situation is ironed out. I have a lot more faith in a Summer or Fall '05 release than I do a Winter or Spring '05 release.

I guess there's always a possibility that Axl has found BH's replacement already- but it seems to me we would have heard something... somehow. Just like we found about Robin, Tommy, Josh Freese, Brain, BH etc.
