Here Today... Gone To Hell!

I'm without power for two days (a little less) and come back and this section is like 5th grade.

What gives?

Political threads, hate 'em or not, that is fine. It is usually the same group of us who bicker anyway. The rest of the threads usually are the same 'tone' day in and day out. I.E. News stories, shit that happened the other day, girls, relationships, my dog died threads....etc etc.

But......

What the hell is going on here?

Is it a full moon or what?

i agree and im being mature and not arguing and sinkin to lower levels,

it just makes me wonder how the mods, with all due respect killed our game threads because they were irrelevant but yet are doing nothing to stop the nonsense thats running around here now.

I haven't read the other threads yet ... yesterday things seemed pretty normal though !

edit to add : I see where the problem lies ... some stupid posts were already there yesterday, it's just that I don't actually read them ...  I've read the Irish thing though, plainly stupid and noboby should give a shit ...   :P

I think it is the timing.

Posts could be coming in while mods are not around. Some have been locked already.

It is like a domino effect though.

One or two really stupid posts....seem to inspire other posters to start even dumber posts!

Then the 7th grade anger from other posters to back it up.

For some reason i remember the peeling potatoes thread was locked and now it isn't. Just me or can u unlock threads?

Hmmm....only mods can lock threads. I don't recall seeing any 'unlocked'.

Maybe you are confusing with another one...They are all kind of the same after all. :hihi:

huh....I dunno. I wasn't paying that much attention. The only one I saw that was locked was the "Is Bush God" thread...which was odd.

Jarmo took care of our "funny" friends so there should not be a problem anymore. I also deleted two of their threads.

I locked the potato thread as soon as it was posted. It was open when I came back online. I also locked the Irish thread (hence the reason your man came back and started a new thread) but it was also opened again (because UI had to lock it).

I could have deleted them, but wanted Jarmo to see what was going on. It's not the first time a thread that I've locked has become mysteriously open, but it could have been a misunderstanding by other Mods, because I didn't write in the thread LOCKED, and they possibly thought they were locking it, but really they opened it.

Yeah, the symbols aren't very clear on this new board and I didn't now it was locked, so I clicked the "lock/unlock" and it unlocked it...

But then I locked it again.

Yeah, I think so. It is very hard to see it sometimes. Not as easy as the other board which you could tell easily if thread were locked.

It seems that we all need big pictures to make our way around here..... :hihi:
