I highly doubt that if this record was not near completion, then Axl would tell Tommy to shut the fuck up! Axl might see this as an opportunity for Tommy to plug the new album a bit without actually making any type of official statement of his own. What do you all think? I highly doubt Axl would let Tommy run his mouth about the album if what he were saying had no merit!

Axl allowed a message to be posted on his band's official website that said "Stay Tuned" for information about Chinese Democracy. Axl said in 2002 the album is coming but soon isnt the word.
