Title: STUDIOCUTS: post your comments here

I know the subject may have already been discussed, but I can't resist to ask your opinion about the 3 shorts studiocuts available on newgnr.com. I just listened to it once again and...I'm totaly blown away. Totally. I put the sound to the maximum and I can clearly hear a lots of things like a strong orchestration on "Madagascar" or something that I can't describe on "the blues". A kind of wall of sound. Everytime I listen to it I totally become mad, I have a fucking extraordinary feeling, like it's going to be one of the greatest record I have ever heard.
Please tell me what is your opinion, I KNOW I'm not the only one to be blown away by these extracts. Did you also put the sound to the maximum? did you hear like me the strong orchestration on "madagascar"? did you also have the same extraordinary feeling inside you? (something like euphoria).

THAT SOUNDS FANTASTIC

hmmm Ive just heard  the cuts thanks to nesquick  : ok:
I must say it is too short...but the main difference I notice is AXL's voice...It's so much better  :smoking: ,  those high pitch vocals on the blues sound awesome

I would hope his voice sounds good......when you spend as much time in the studio as they have he could conceivably sing the same note a 100 times until it is exactly perfect. He will sound like the old Axl on this album even if he can't replicate on a nightly basis on tour......that is the beauty of the studio.

The question for me about CD is the sound of Axl and the band and the over all feel of the songs/album and if they can make it work. Listening to those short clips erases those questions. If thats how the songs on CD will sound, then in terms of sound/production, my "concerns" regarding CD have been answered.

The album will be great. Axl is an amazing artist and the band is incredible as well. If they have meshed it all together the album will be what we all want.

Its the other things that will take away from the album. Such as the "delays", not the original band, peoples agenda towards Axl, etc....but as long as I and everyone else hear is happy witht he music, then CD will be a success.

If we look ahead in time and a review says the album is great but is it worth all that time? Then I think thats a positive. As long as the music doesnt get knocked for what it is at this point in time and not the whole "10 yrs thing"{which is false} then it will be all good.

I listen to the new songs basically everyday. All of them. They havnt lost its punch in any way over all these yrs, from the delays and frustrations. And to me that speaks volumes. The lyircs are and will be incredible. And that alone is worth the wait. but the attitude and sound of the band will put it over the top....

The main thing is you get this instant sense or feeling about this band. That its something special and bigger than other stuff thats out there. Its undescribable. When that ball finally gets rolling it iwll go for awhile and hopefully it will make a few dents./..time will tell

YG-

I know you always harp on the its not 10 years thing, but the Guns N' Roses brand hasn't released an album in over 10 years. Reviewers aren't going to care that this incarnation has only been together for 5-6, just that Axl has not released a new CD since the SI in 93. Like it or not, that is how this will be percieved.

If this is the reaction you can get from such a short clip, maybe Robin can pioneer the 1.5 second solo.

Do you have a mind problem? Maybe you have a memory problem. You've already started another thread about this topic.

I'm locking this one and if you do it again, you'll probably have to talk to Jarmo...
