They were all recorded in the same sessions. In fact, I have the demo's of some of the songs. But yes, its a great album, and in fact, it is Gn'R's heavest rock record too, in the mixing, the album is fatter in sound than any of the previous. Great stuff. But onto the CD thing... it's gonna be a great album for sure, but I don't really think it will sound like Guns N' Roses used to sound. But since it's an entirely different band, and virtually all of GnR's sound relied on mainly Axl and Slash, musically it wont sound anything like GnR. How can that be with gilby is on the album and not izzy? What a shame because Gilby blows (I do think he is a pretty good guy though). For a reference read the Rolling Stone article where Slash is interviewed and was on the cover.
