Title: tommy in san francisco
Post by: axlroses on August 29, 2004, 02:53:51 PM
I went and saw tommy in san francisco with alien crime syndicate and it was a great show.  Tommy played about a 3-4 song solo set, and then alien crime syndicate played a short set.  While Alien Crime Syndicate was playing Tommy signed autographs and talked to fans.  I must say that Tommy is a true class act.  He was nice enough to sign a poster and let me get a picture with him.  I didn't bother him with questions about guns n roses, but told him his new solo album was great and I thought he was great with guns in vegas when I saw them.  He said thank you and went on signing other things for people.  His set with Alien Crime syndicate at the end of the night was great, and he played 2 songs from the perfect album that is out soon.

I just wanted to pass on the word once again that Tommy is a class act, and that he is a great asset to gnr.

You had Tommy sign something for you in person and you didn't ask about CD?   :crying:   Well that was complete waste of time.  Were you afraid he'd be upset?  I mean who cares if he is sick of CD questions, he's never gonna see you again or know you for real.  Let him be upset.  He's a class act, but this is a GNR forum....try to get us some GNR info.

Next person to talk to Tommy or any member and doesn't ask about CD....don't bother posting it please.   ::)

Asking Tommy about CD would just give us one more contradiction. I'm glad you didn't ask, and I'm glad Tommy kept his mouth shut.

I can't believe you're whining about something that happened a year ago....

Tommy seems like a really nice guy-loved his CD-he was really good in concert-Tommy probably gets asked about GNR every day, I doubt he would have much to say about it if he dosen't know the release date.

Not long ago, people would have planned on going to see Tommy, take him to one side and try to get an update on CD/GN'R.

No one can be arsed now. If the album's by the end of the year / early next year (and I mean early) I think the same apathy will be extended to Axl and GN'R in general. Its about time there was something more exciting to discuss!

" How long do you think GNR fans can wait for CD?"

I know it isn`t Tommy`s fault, but I`d be interested on what he thinks about that.

Id be more interested in hearing his answer to "do you think its ignorant not to give and information to the loyal fans of your band who want to cherish and support your music more than anything?" :peace:
