"Racing Rocks, the radio show hosted by Riki Rachtman, will be giving out a special annoucement in the middle of September and rumor has it that it relates to gnr"

This could mean 2 things...

Seems to me, if GN'R are making a public announcement regarding Chinese Democracy, it would be made on a forum that huge amounts of people would see/hear, not a single radio show.

I guess it remains to be seen, though.

funny how a radio show making a annoucement in a month is now a big deal. ....

Wasnt Riki the guy who said that he had spoken to a person close to Axl? Who said that C.D and? a world tour was coming very soon....

That would explain why whoever made this up used his name they've got to make it a bit believeable

Actually yeah this isn't the first Riki's gonna spill CD beans rumor that's been out.  Last year he was supposed to tell the world the release date I believe.  Just like those magical Chinese Democracy commercials that are gonna air on MTV one day haha.  The one had just a black screen and said something stupid like Chinese Democracy or Coming Soon or some shit haha  :rofl:  quick everyone call riki and ask him when CD is coming out.

I BELEIVE (meaning, I'm not sure) that the info is is regards to VR's fall/winter US tour.

VR is going to be playing bigger venues when they get back to the states right?  The 2 VR shows I went to rocked.

That seems to be the current plan, though I think they only have 2 confirmed dates so far...The Voodoo Festival in New Orleans and one other show (who's locations escapes me, right now).  I've heard there will be an announcement in mid-September-ish that will give the full details...which is why I THINK this "rumor" concerns them, if anyone.

But with VR being certified platinum now (I believe) and all the exposure they've gotten from Vh1 and rock radio, it would seem sad to think tDJ's would think they have to have to refer to a VR tour as GnR news. Hasn't VR distanced itself enough now with its own success? Still, pilferk is probaly right :-\

My guess is Interscope probably gave Axl a "by the end of 2004" deadline and in true Axl fashion he will use the last Tuesday of the year...Dec. 28th.

If I'm right, an October announcement seems appropriate.

Are Riki and Axl still good friends?  It would seem like he is the guy who might know something.

With what Riki has said in the BTM, I dont think Axl is too fond of him right now.
