Title: Re: Excellent Izzy interview, talks about Axl alot Post by: Bahad on August 12, 2004, 03:06:38 PM Thanx, I have already read that interview but it was a very good interview about Izzy's leaving. I could understand Izzy for his decision. He's a true rocker cos he is doing it for the fun not for the money.

I liked Izzy's comment: Instead we came up with a drum solo. What's more annoying than a drum solo? How about having to fast forward through it on VHS each time you watch it? :D Title: Re: Excellent Izzy interview, talks about Axl alot Post by: hynzie on August 13, 2004, 05:32:50 PM cool interveiw thanks

Title: Re: Excellent Izzy interview, talks about Axl alot Post by: DemocracyRose on August 14, 2004, 01:05:45 PM This does also explain why Axl didnt want Slash and co. on the "ship" anymore.
You cant work with people who is drunk or high all the time.... Then again, it was a low move from Axl with the money thing about getting a smaller paycheck to Izzy... Title: Re: Excellent Izzy interview, talks about Axl alot Post by: Skeletor on August 16, 2004, 10:16:22 AM Thanks for the link, that's a really great interview! Reading that stuff made me feel good somehow, and appreciate Izzy even more. That guy's got a lot of integrity, I must say.
Quote So I wanted to make another record, which we did: it was a double or a triple, I don't know anymore :o . . . ;D . . . Title: Re: Excellent Izzy interview, talks about Axl alot Post by: Wheres Izzy on August 17, 2004, 01:13:37 AM As much as I hate the fact he left cause I think that sparked the eventual breakup of the band, I empathize. I mean 3 of your friends are apparently killing themselves right in front of you (ever have that friend who starts getting wasted all day everyday? that times 3) and your other friend all of a sudden is trying to get u to sign a contract saying you're not that important. Fuck that I woulda walked too.

Yeah, Izzy was always the most level-headed, down to earth member of the original band. Quote So I wanted to make another record, which we did: it was a double or a triple, I don't know anymore Actually, Izzy is remembering correctly. If you guys recall, they recorded all of The Spaghetti Incident with Izzy. So they actually did record three full albums during the UYI sessions, but they only released two in 1991. Izzy's memory is a little foggy but the details are there! Izzy's parts were re-recorded by Gilby for the TSI release. They probabaly added some tracks later when Gilby had joined. For example I think Since I Don't Have You was done later. /jarmo |
