I dont know when this interview was done or anything, I found it today:

LP: After leaving Ozzy, you worked with Guns N' Roses for awhile didn't you?

ZW: Yeah, Axl called me up when we were doing the Ozzmosis album. I knew Slash, and I knew Duff and Steven from when I first joined Ozzy going out to LA when we ran into the guys. We were friends and sh*t like that, but I'd never met Axl before. Then he rang me up and was like, "Zakk, do you wanna get together and start jamming?" I was like "shit yeah". I didn't give a f**k, do you know what I mean. They were down in rehearsals - it was me, Slash, Axl, Duff, Mat and Dizzy. One of the riffs ended up on the first Black Label Society record, 'Rose Pettled Garden'. The stuff that I wanted to do, eventually, would have been like G N' R on steroids, man. But you know, once you get all the f**king lawyers involved and that bullsh*t, you know. I saw Axl not so long ago, and I said "What the f**k happened?" And Axl goes, "Well Zakk, I heard you wanted two million up front and your own tour bus." What the f**k. Two Million? I said, "If I'd got a piece of the f**king merchandise I'd have made two million in the first f**king month out on the road." I said, "You know me by f**king now, get the f**k out of here, I don't know who the f**ks telling you that sh*t." Once you get money flying in the air, I stay out of that sh*t, all I want to do is drink beer, play guitar and clean up dog sh*t and go home.

Zakk isn't a fan of the new band.  Infact he constantly refers to Axl in a lot of his interviews by saying that he should get his shit together and reunite with the old guys and just shutup and make music.

We just need to be able to hear this stuff ourselves

Sooner or later the album (if it exists at all :nervous:) will leak and then Axl will be fucked....

I find it a shame that things didn't work out with Zakk.

First, Slash was the obsticle.

Then, paranoid Axl put a wrench in the works in what could have been an interesting collaboration.

Actually the Rose Petalled Garden isn't one of BLS's finest moments.  The song really isn't much riff wise especially the chorus.

Wrong.  There was only one interview like that, and it didn't even exactly go like that.  he just said that Axl should stop worrying about what other people think etc.

Wrong, I've read a few actually....one that was posted on blacklabelsociety.net or something and a few others.  Zakk doesn't think the new band is gonna cut it........he would much rather have the axl of old reunited with Slash and Duff and Izzy........I can think of two guitar world interviews in which he's said that and he even talked about it on the eddie trunk show a while back.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.? Zakk Wylde's opinion is about as useful as an chocolate fire truck.
If you have any sense you would ignore almost everything he says.
