Title: Tracii Guns w/GN'R, Axl w/LA Guns Post by: RichardNixon on August 05, 2004, 11:13:06 PM Are there any bootlegs floating around of a GN'R show with Tracii Guns, an LA Guns show with Axl fronting the band, or any recordings of GN'R with Tracii or of LA Guns with Axl. If there are, I hope they get released someday. I loved the Hollywood Rose CD and would like to hear more stuff from the vaults.

Yiu really want Axl to delay Chinese Democracy again so he can fight the unofficial record Well HR has been my fav. album of the year....so....yes On topic - there have never even been rumours of a GNR bootleg with Tracii :-\ He was only in the band for a matter of months. As for the Axl in LA Guns bit - that depends of what u read, some accounts have Axl showing up in LA Guns other's claim he never did, GNR's early history is very vague but i don't honestly believe Axl ever found his way into LA Guns. Title: Re: Tracii Guns w/GN'R, Axl w/LA Guns Post by: John Daniels on August 06, 2004, 10:56:12 AM what has Tracii ever done..he gave the name "guns" to the band called Guns and Roses. That's it. one Slash quote about Tracii and others:
"I hallucinated when I took a look at the credits and realised that all the washed-up has-beens of the West Coast, the losers, the ex-somebodys were all gathered on this shitty record ! (laughs) Even Tracii Guns plays on most of the tracks. Fuck, this album is basically the record all these guys dreamed of making one day !" It was allegedly Richard Black who taught Axl to "walk" ( the side step moves he makes as highlighted in the Paradise City video)

Title: Re: Tracii Guns w/GN'R, Axl w/LA Guns Post by: John Daniels on August 07, 2004, 11:20:44 AM I guess 15 records means nothing there are millions of people that have made 15 records. I like Slash but that quote shows he has a very unplesant side - essentially he is laughing at dedicated musicians that never got the lucky break he did - he should bear in mind that while he is returning to the top he was an 'ex somebody' less than two years ago - and in the last 10 years even Tracii Guns has shifted more albums than Slash's post GNR/pre VR efforts had. |
