Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: LittleFly on August 01, 2004, 07:21:59 PM In the article, he says that Dizzy was very intent on listening to Slither. I thought it would be very interesting for him to listen to his former bandmates lol
Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: nesquick on August 01, 2004, 07:40:27 PM Man, Dizzy is right, the 2002 Madison Square Garden Show is definitely one of the best that GN'R (old and new) ever played. What a great show!! Very, Very impressive.

Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: J? on August 01, 2004, 10:57:29 PM Dizzy = radical man! like there is Radical and then there is like uh radical but hes Radical man!
Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: Mikkamakka on August 02, 2004, 02:35:06 AM It's a little boring and uninformative article except for 1 or 2 things. I've never thought that Dizzy is for gay marriage - does Axl know about this? Or even his attitude has changed toward this?
Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: ccorn69 on August 02, 2004, 02:47:24 AM dizzy rocks : ok:
peace :peace: Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: gnr1967 on August 02, 2004, 03:16:30 AM Great article!?
I think it's interesting how he said not to "burn any bridges."? I think that statement could apply to pretty much all the old members of GNR (and Axl, depending on how you look at it). Also, did you agree with Dizzy's comment about Slash's solo in Slither?? I'm not a musician, but I personally enjoy Slash's solo a lot.? ? :) Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: jarmo on August 02, 2004, 07:02:28 AM I've never thought that Dizzy is for gay marriage - does Axl know about this? Or even his attitude has changed toward this? Does Axl know about this? ::) You think Axl is Dizzy's guardian or something? I guess you missed this part: "Why is Axl the way he is?" the fan asked. Dizzy looked back at her, half-smiling, "He's not the way he is." /jarmo Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: AdZ on August 02, 2004, 07:10:04 AM I've never thought that Dizzy is for gay marriage - does Axl know about this? Or even his attitude has changed toward this? Didn't Axl work out in a gay gym at some point before the '02 tour? May have been just rumour of course... Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: anarchy on August 02, 2004, 09:12:24 AM It's a little boring and uninformative article except for 1 or 2 things. I've never thought that Dizzy is for gay marriage - does Axl know about this? Or even his attitude has changed toward this? Good one! Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: Mikkamakka on August 02, 2004, 09:37:20 AM I've never thought that Dizzy is for gay marriage - does Axl know about this? Dizzy looked back at her, half-smiling, "He's not the way he is." /jarmo I think he's Dizzy's boss. He was (is?) homophobic. On the other hand some strange rumours circulated in the past years. And to answer your question: I think he's the kind of guys who gets irritated if a member of his band says something against his opinion. Maybe he's not. Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: chineseilusions on August 02, 2004, 02:25:08 PM That was a cool read.I would have never thought of dizzy as a politicaly educated person.I thought the answer to the fans question was awesome.
Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: ppbebe on August 02, 2004, 02:44:09 PM Cool reed indeed. I haven?t read through it yet tho.
"I'm going to share with you the best piece of advice: Never burn your bridges." Shit, I wish I?d heard this before. :crying: Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: gnrvrrule on August 02, 2004, 05:55:03 PM I think that Axl accidentally worked out in a gay gym at one point, but after he found this out, he was still very nice and signed autographs, etc. I think Axl probably said some things in the past he regretted but probably has nothing against gays. Also, I doubt if he really cares if Dizzy has the same political views as him.
Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: AdZ on August 02, 2004, 06:52:09 PM Didn't he say he was confused by gay people, rather than hating them?
Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: Malcolm on August 02, 2004, 07:03:23 PM That was cool what Dizzy said bout axl..."He isnt the way he is"..very cool
Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: Aunt Ger on August 02, 2004, 07:27:03 PM I thought it was an excellent article myself. As for Dizzy's view point on gay marriage? Everyone is intitled to their own oppinoin. I'm pro-life and also for gay marriages. As long as it doesn't interfere with my life, who's to say who can and can't marry. I am not, and never will be a prejudice person. This world would be much better if we all learned to get along. : ok: :peace:

I think that a lot of people who have a lot of anger and issues about what others are doing, just have issues within themselves. But some people really do feel strongly about this topic, but we won't go into that now. Great article. I always enjoy reading interviews or articles from Dizzy. He seems to be a really cool guy. I guess he and Axl have a really strong friendship after so many years in the band together. Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: Aunt Ger on August 02, 2004, 11:00:24 PM Right you are...Gunner Down Under.....Axl and Dizzy's friendship goes way back to when they first met. Good friends are hard to find and some stab you in the back after you have helped them get to a successful level in life. I don't think any of the old band mates, would be where they are now, if it wasn't for Axl giving them their piece of fame. Don't get me wrong. I loved the original line up. Slash is one awesome musician, along with Adler, Sorum, Clark, Stradlin, and all the rest. I never had anything to say about the way they played. It's their attitudes now, that bothers the hell out of me.
Title: Re: Dizzy Article Post by: J? on August 03, 2004, 02:57:17 AM As Robert Kennedy quoted so many times:
"Some men see things as they are and ask why? I dream of things that never were and say ask why not?" Dizzy = radical cool, I mean being for gay marriages is awesome cause its a basic civil right , here in Canada we will hopefully have it legalized soon. Plus we will have decriminlization of pot but thats another topic not here not now.... But ya he seems like a very loyal friend , and one of those friends last a life time. So kudos to Dizzy for his continueness awesomeness! Is he going to being making any tour stops in Canada? It would crazy if he did! Radical dudes and dudettes! lets rock in acceptance rather then unacceptance! |
