Title: Re: possible Axl sighting Post by: Dave_Rose on August 01, 2004, 07:08:23 AM There is no way Axl is still laying tracks for Chinese Democracy although it could be for a different album which I hope is the case but I dont know if thats is true about the sighting do you really think Axl would talk to a fan for hours on end?
Title: Re: possible Axl sighting Post by: AdZ on August 01, 2004, 07:19:21 AM It said he was 'talking about'. He doesn't have to necessarily be doing something to talk about it.
And, dreadlocks? ::) Title: Re: possible Axl sighting Post by: DaNutz on August 01, 2004, 07:31:13 AM http://armenandaylin.blogspot.com/2003_12_01_armenandaylin_archive.html
This is sounding more and more like some persons fantasy. (I didnt go thru all the journal links..wouldn't be surprised to find more GNR references). Title: Re: possible Axl sighting Post by: Mr Cowbell ? on August 01, 2004, 10:49:59 PM Quote We sat down by a bunch of guys who were intently involved in a conversation with a dude in multi-colored dreadlocks? They were talking about music and the guy in the dreadlocks was talking about putting down vocal lines, attorneys, etc. I figured that the guy in dreadlocks was a musician or somehow involved in music. After a couple of minutes, I began to wonder why these guys are were so intently engaged in this conversation? All of a sudden I realized who this musician in dreadlocks was: it was Axl Rose and I was sitting not two feet away from him! I turned to Aylin and told her in Armenian: ?Do you know who this is??? It?s fucking Axl Rose!? We were in total disbelief! Here we were sitting not two feet away from the guy who was the lead singer of one of my all-time favorite bands! Aylin told me to talk to him but I didn?t know what to say. Besides, those other guys had monopolized the conversation. After a while, these guys left. I thought that if I don?t talk to him now, I?m never going to get this opportunity again. So, I went up to him and said, ?Axl, I?m a little slow but I just realized that it?s you and I just had to tell you that I?m a huge, huge fan of yours and Guns n? Roses? What followed was an awesome conversation that lasted nearly two hours. Out of respect to Axl, I am leaving out the details of our conversation. Imagine: me sitting right next to Axl talking about music, his new band, his new album, Guns N? Roses, music, songs, music business, the break up of GNR, and whole lot more. The best part was that he was a totally cool guy: very approachable, friendly and down to earth. He is a total pro and loves music. Aylin thought that he seemed to be totally into it and enjoying the conversation. In fact, we were so into our conversation, that we totally missed the end of the Lakers game! I could have talked to him for hours but I didn?t want to take up more of his time. I don't think Axl would pass up the Lakers finals or have mutli colored dreadlocks. Or spend two hours talking to a girl. I'm gonna go add my story to my journal about how me and Axl spent 6 hours together at a craft fair. Sounds somewhat credible to me. Not like it reveals anything of importance, so I don't think its worth getting worked up over either way. Title: Re: possible Axl sighting Post by: PeterCoffin on August 02, 2004, 02:37:47 AM If a random (good looking) girl came up to me and started talking, I'd unlikely shut her down. Now is this girl good looking?
Title: Re: possible Axl sighting Post by: norway on August 02, 2004, 05:55:33 AM Nice pic... why should it be a rumour? Axl exist for real you know

Title: Re: possible Axl sighting Post by: C0ma on August 02, 2004, 09:04:55 AM They are braids, but some people don't know the difference. Does that make the story false because the girl didn't know what to call them.

Maybe it's just me, but they seem similar, and braids sound like something girls wear, dreads are more guy-ish... hence, i woulda probably called them dreads too. In Rio De Janeiro, Brazil the same thing happened, a group of fans went over to Axl's table outside on the hotel's pool and they started a friendly conversation with him. I'm not saying this story is true, but it always astonishes me when people think Axl is not human and will not talk to anyone about anything. Besides if the girls were hot, why the heck wouldn't Axl talk to them? He is a man you know. Title: Re: possible Axl sighting Post by: Jizzo on August 02, 2004, 04:33:15 PM Axl is a nice guy, from time to time.
Title: Re: possible Axl sighting Post by: providman on August 02, 2004, 05:11:32 PM Welcome to the world of Axl's Guns & Roses, where dummies & ninnies argue endlessly with nitwits? & nincompoops over whether some girl nobody knows actually had a conversation with their hero, Axl.
Take a bow, everybody!, but first send Axl a note thanking him for doing such a bang-up job. Way to go, Axl! : ok: : ok: : ok: Title: Re: possible Axl sighting Post by: Mr Cowbell ? on August 02, 2004, 05:28:25 PM dude, before you criticize everything, let me show you what axl with multicolored dreads looks like: (http://ins7ght.com/images/samples/4383.jpg) Those are braids. I stand corrected those are some fruity colors. The difference between braids and dreads is the thickness, Dreads are usally thicker while braids are thinner and woven tighter.
