Axl looks great.. in shape and although its not a real close up, if you ignore the braids his face and features looks just like Axl always has when posing for the camera in the years gone by.

Yeah, Axl defiantely has not changed like people has said he has. He has defiantely not had plastic surgery. He looks great.

Hey! Does anyone know when this pic of Axl was taken? It’s just that I was wandering if he still had those braids in now? I remember one of the so-called siting’s of Axl, where I think they stated that he didn’t have them anymore! I was just keen to know really!! P.S Fuck all the doubters I seriously believe that this is the year for the album!!!

Axl's hair still currently has braids

Merck (sp?) must be scratching his head wondering why so many people seem to be asking him about Axl's hairstyle - ''those pesky kids and their questions!'' :rofl:

I sent an e-mail to the webmaster to see if he knows when they were taken. I'll let you know if I hear from him/her.

No, there were those ones from the rainbow (I think) where he was drinking miller light and smoking a cigar. and there was one from the '02 tour at soundcheck where he was wearing a leather coat and smoking a cigar.

Are the axl and buckethead pics from the same day at the same place? That would be quite a coup if it was true. From axl's statement, it sounded as though bucket had not showed in the studio since the tour ended.

On a side note wouldnt smoking cigars irrate his voice and make it worse?

Axl was notorious for smoking cigarettes like a chimney back in the GnR heyday, I have no clue what he does or doesn't do these days, but cigars aren't as bad for your throat as cigarettes because you don't inhale the smoke into your lungs.

But it's sure that Axl's heavy cigarette smoking combined with the constant touring played a big role in the vocal problems he had back in the early 90s, and probably with the vocal problems that were a part of the 2002 tour getting cancelled.  

I think the hair Bucket has under the Bucket is a wig. When I saw him in Atlanta and he was 5 ft from me, it looked fake as hell. I bet the guy has short hair! Otherwise, his size, huge hands, and hair real long would be easy to spot without the Bucket and mask. He's one tricky Bucket. ps I have some friends who saw Praxis at Bonnaroo and they were completely shocked and floored by Buckethead. He tore it up. ;D

That's definately different hair in that picture - shorter and browner. I'd got used to the idea that the long hair was real but I think it clearly isn't.

That looks like it might be his real hair. Weird how he could look like anything. He could walk past you in the street and you wouldn't have a clue.

Just to identify the people in the photo;

On the left is Eric Caudieux (pro tools man), the small guy is Dan Monti (works for Village Rec.), then you have Axl, and on the right, as previously stated, is Caram Costanzo (engineer)

geez , I feel let down by you guys. I see you all investigate every small rumor right down to details , make phone calls , write emails etc etc etc but nobody even realizes that the hair on bucketheads picture is from his micheal myers mask?!

LOL , do a quick search for micheal myers pics or mask on google. The hair is from that mask , his hair is tucked underneath.

He has long hair , need proof? Look inside the giant robot NTT album booklet.

I have that michael myers that buckethead is wearing. The light brown hair is from the mask; it's very weak and pulls out very easily. Bucket's hair is tucked underneath the mask and hood.

Can someone provide a little background on those 2 guys that are with Axl in the pic. Like what have they done in the past, any other info, etc...thank you...greatly appreciated

E. Caudieux has done lots of programming and digital engineering on a bunch of albums with lots of different artists. Notably Joe Satriani, L7, Ugly Kid Joe, GN'R (Live Era), etc. His main work appears to be with Satriani though.

C. Constanzo has also done lots of engineering work for a wide panel of artists, including Indigo Girls, Lil Kim, Pearl Jam (No Code), R.A.T.M (Evil Empire), STP, Widespread Panic, etc.

No , younggunner , Bucketheads long hair is NOT a wig. I have watched 3 different shows of buckethead on video where his bucket either falls off or he takes it off and it is CLEAR that the long hair is VERY real.

If you have ever seen a pic of Buckethead without the bucket and just wearing his mask then you too would realize the long hair is indeed very real.

i just realised the guy standing directly besides Axl is Dan Monti. he co- wrote and co-produced "Bucketheadland 2" and "The Cuckoo Clock of Hell".

yeah, you can also see that it's real hair on Brains DVD, there are several scenes with BH without his bucket.

Jarmo, let's not be so serious, alright?  I see photos of Axl at sporting events, at strip clubs smoking cigars, articles about mobile horsies, etc...you know where I don't see him?  On a stage or on MTV promoting a new video...It can be frustrating when all we get is the occassional photo of Axl enjoying the lifestyle that his perpetually fading career provided him...Of course the pics are cool, but forgive me for not getting too enthusiastic...

Anyone notice the date?  Thats Valentines Day.  Looks like he bought himself a valentines present.  

Can we stop using that tired quote as a crutch, please?  I'm on the board searching for rumblings on a daily basis, just as you are....The members of this board filled up 25 pages of responses relating to a provisional release date that wasn't specific and took up all of 5 seconds of a program, and can easily be categorically denied by all involved as Axl blows off another presumed deadline....We all live our lives, but when I post here, I speak in the context of the "world" of GNR, so to speak....You of all people, Younggunner, should not condemn others for the intensity of their fandom, be it negative or otherwise.  If I feel more optimism on some days than others, so be  it...It comes with being an Axl supporter.
  It's just a bit insulting to me to see bands who will bust their ass for a decade, yet never recieve the accolades and level of material success that Axl has enjoyed....I understand the fact that Axl is an insular person.  I get the fact that he's working tirelessly to restore the GNR name to prominence...Fine.  I know what being a GNR fan entails, but holy hell....Establish even the most minimal rapport with your fanbase, some periodic display of appreciation...I'm not acting as though my money alone enabled Axl to buy the car, but he didn't make his fortune selling hot dogs on the side of the road, you know?  I don't "expect" an artist to do anything other than record and tour; the rest is gravy...It's just that a pic like that makes reading everyone's posts awaiting responses to  10 simple questions (or similar activities) that much more frustrating.

i didn't see axl checking under the hood at the engine.you would think he would have looked at that huh.

I doubt it as I bet Axl don't know much about working on cars and I am sure the car is brand new so there is nothing to worry about. I do think its funny all the other people's pictures on the website are photos from INSIDE the studio, maybe they couldnt get Axl to enter the door?
