Title: Manowar Post by: estranged88 on July 23, 2004, 02:25:59 AM Does anyone else on this board like Manowar?
Yes i know they can be overwhelmingly cheesy at time, but to me its just fun kick ass music! I picked up "warriors of the world" and the song "hand of doom" while being cheesy totally kicks ass. Thier singer has a very unique voice. He can have low growling type vocals and also have high pitched screams. The Guitar is awesome , very fast paced and melodic. The album was overall just a bit above average, but after dowloading songs from some of thier 80's albums, i think they would be a better bet, and i will make it a point to pick up the album "kings of metal" because the songs (cheesy again) just plain kick ass! if anyone knows about this band give me some reccomendations...... and i can totally understand if you hate them because some of their lyrics are borderline retarded , but if your looking for fastpaced/ fun music, i think manowar is a good band! I'm sure Kings Of Metal is a Best Of. I recommend Fighting The World, the best song being Carry On. I'd love to see these guys live, but they never play the UK.
