Title: Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: dewdewboy on July 21, 2004, 10:24:50 PM A friend of mine was listing to his XM radio today and while flipping threw the channels he hear that Axl Rose was spotted wearing a black T-shit with big white letters that read ?November 2?. Since he isn?t a GNR fan he didn?t pay much attention to the details. And being that I?m a GNR fan he told me. I asked him if he knew where he was spotted and if he had any more info. He remembered it was in the US but 4got where at. He said they where joking about that date being the presidential election date. And added some funny comments about him supporting the election or his album or something. That?s all the info he remembers.
Anyone else hear this? Or know anything about it? Is Axl a vote freak or is this one of his big plans he?s been waiting for? ??? :o ??? Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: HoldenCaulfield on July 21, 2004, 10:52:35 PM Democracy = election? Someone had to say it...
Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: FlashFlood on July 21, 2004, 11:08:43 PM this seems a bit far fetched
Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: anarchy on July 21, 2004, 11:25:34 PM Geffen is being a bit stingy with the old advertising budget. They can only stretch to one t-shirt?
Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: SOH on July 21, 2004, 11:38:09 PM Three possible outcomes to this.
#1: The guy who said it is full of shit. #2: Chinese Democracy is coming out in November, maybe even on the second. #3: Axl is just fucking with us now. Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. I vote # 3....... Actually, I don't believe this one, but who knows? Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: Johnnyblood on July 21, 2004, 11:57:52 PM It's funny, elections and record releases are always on Tuesday. So is November 2nd.
Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: NickNasty on July 22, 2004, 12:01:28 AM The guy who said it may be full of shit, but those t-shirts actually exist. They are part of http://www.november2.org/home.cfm (http://www.november2.org/home.cfm) a non-profit campaign to get people to register and vote in the upcoming election. Buying a t-shirt is a donation as well as advertisement for the campaign. : ok:
Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: HoldenCaulfield on July 22, 2004, 12:02:51 AM Anything's possible, and it's original, at least. I mean come on, all you ever hear is "so-and-so told me this...", coming up with the idea that he had the date on his shirt deserves the nod for originality. Seems very plausible in the world of Axl, though.
Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: TIPSY on July 22, 2004, 12:08:53 AM Lets face it shall we?
The ONLY way to get CD out of Axl is to employ the likeliness of Peter Parker a.k.a Spiderman. Spiderman can tangle Axl in a web with one hand and retrieve CD from Axl with the other ;D Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: tp4ever84 on July 22, 2004, 12:57:27 AM Just to point out nov. 2nd falls on a tuesday. Not that I believe this or not.
GNR for fucking ever. Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: Skeletor on July 22, 2004, 02:10:29 AM Looking forward to November. And...
Geffen is being a bit stingy with the old advertising budget. They can only stretch to one t-shirt? ...is funny as hell :hihi: Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: Jizzo on July 22, 2004, 02:25:12 AM If this is true and cd is coming november 2nd, im buying 3 of those shirts
Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: Eazy E on July 22, 2004, 02:29:50 AM I'm kind of dreading the day this CD comes out because we will stop getting all of these fantastic rumours. :hihi:
Axl working with Lionel Richie? Guns N' Roses shooting a baseball-themed video in Japan for "Catcher" in the Rye? Axl wears T-Shirt to support election and promote new CD? We could fill a book with all the shit we've heard. : ok: Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: Izzy on July 22, 2004, 06:37:40 AM Unless Axl's really far gone he knows wondering around with a tshirt with a date on will lead to conclusions being drawn....but it sounds (if this is true) as if he's just having a laugh at everyone's expense...

Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: darknemus on July 22, 2004, 09:15:27 AM I heard the same thing mentioned on XM on 'Da' BoneYard' (Channel #41) - dont know if I heard it at the same time, though. It was mentioned by the main Boneyard guy.. I never remember his name. I heard it last night driving to a client's office.. about 10:15 or so Eastern time.
It was really just a quick, quick blurb - with no real exposition before or after. Who knows what to make of it. -darknemus Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: My Michelle on July 22, 2004, 09:50:28 AM http://www.november2.org/countdown.htm

Title: Day of the Dead - Nov. 2nd = ? Chinese Democracy? Post by: 5thofwhiskey on July 22, 2004, 02:11:16 PM I thought this is of interest since all the rumors of CD coming out on the USA election day (Nov. 2nd).
November 2nd is also the Catholic Mexican holiday "Day of the Dead". read more here: http://www.nacnet.org/assunta/dead.htm Interesting day I think the only other major album slated for November is the U2 Vertigo album. -5th Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: Mr Cowbell ? on July 22, 2004, 03:05:25 PM I just think Axl is fucking with us. Don't you think he would want his "baby" of an album to be the center of attention, by dropping it on Nov 2, all the news and TV stations are gonna be covering the election. People will be out and about voting and not have it on their mind. I would think Axl would pick a week where the long awaited CD can get everyone's attention

So many supposed "great opertunities" to drop the album have come and gone over the years. Albums drop when they do, and that's it. And you'll hear about it, don't worry. And just to point out, for the hell of ot, the people who cover the election are there for that. Music has people to cover it's feild. Anytime will be ok. Post by: Jizzo on July 22, 2004, 03:35:58 PM They could get good advertising out of releasing it the 2nd. Just think of election tie ins that could be used in ads
Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: Eazy E on July 22, 2004, 04:16:49 PM We'll have to wait and see if the election gets postponed due to "terrorist threats". ::)
Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: NickNasty on July 22, 2004, 04:42:04 PM MAN, you people are reading into this way too much. First it was said by a DJ, and what de we know about DJ's? They are unrelibale %$#@!s. Secondly, if (big if) it is true, could it be Axl simply has a political conscience and cares about the election?
Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: mega_music on July 22, 2004, 04:57:31 PM I wonder if Axl is a Republician or Democrat??
Think if this happes to prove CD will be out on November 2nd then think how many freakin shirts that place is gonna sell. Could Axl maybe be running for President???? Then he wins and on his first day Axl says "Im going to cut taxes, but soon is not the word" 2005- still no tax cuts 2006- still no tax cuts 2007- yep no tax cuts see where Im going! Vote Axl Rose president of the USA! Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: smishkey on July 22, 2004, 05:24:05 PM The current political climate is such a mess that people who normally wouldn't be very outwardly political are becoming outwardly political. So IF he was seen wearing such a t-shirt its probably something he believes in and he can fuck with people at the same time(regarding VH1 rumor). Brilliant really. :peace:

Hello HTGTH Board, it's Axl4Prez here! That's right...November baby! Axl for president. November 2 must mean, "I'm running for president in November, too!" :hihi: Later, Axl4Prez :) Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt. Post by: Elle on July 22, 2004, 06:40:10 PM Axl's probably sitting at home reading this, pissing himself laughing! Fair play to him tho, he's prob just trying to wind up the VH1 thing!

You always have time to post your 'guy at the radio station' but when you hear something you claim could have been heard by anybody you don't post it. The guys on XM mention Guns all the time - hell, they played 420 GNR & GNR member side projects songs in a row once.. its not like its a big deal. I didn't think much of what they said because I've learned that - as with all things GNR - expect nothing and you're never disappointed. Perhaps in the future when I drag myself in the door mentally wrecked and freaking drained from the day, I'll hop right onto HTGTH and post "Wow, the Boneyard mentioned Axl again!" - last night all I wanted to do was collapse into my bed. -darknemus Title: Re:Axl Rose wearing "November 2" T-shirt.
