Title: Two Rooms w/ Axl Rose
Post by: parisrocks on July 21, 2004, 11:04:35 AM
I thought I had all the Axl stuff from concerts and movies, but I've never heard of Two Rooms, supposedly starring Axl, or Queen: Days Of Our Lives.

Chime in and tell me what the hell they are.

Thanx.

Two rooms is about Elton John I think.

Axl is on it, but I don't know how he contributed because I haven't seen it.

I noticed this like you and asked about it on here quite a few months ago, but nobody knew what his contribution was.

Sorry I can't tell you any more.

Actually, Here's some info.

There was an album called "two rooms" released in 1991 which was basically an Elton John tribute album. Axl's not on that.

There was also a video released in 1997 of the same name

Description:
This is a fine documentary chronicling the careers of the great songwriting team of Elton John and Bernie Taupin. There is much to enjoy in the short span of 90 minutes; from old, rarely seen footage of Elton performing some of his early hits to musical accolades sung and spoken by his friends and peers in popular music, ranging from Neil Young to Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, Phil Collins and Sting. And we see some thoughtful commentary by Elton John and Bernie Taupin regarding how they've written songs and why their partnership has lasted so long. Without a doubt, it is essential viewing for Elton John fans and also for those who wonder why Elton remains popular to this very day. I found watching it much more rewarding than listening to the companion "Two Rooms" CD.

Axl's name is mentioned on the front of this video. Still don't know his contribution - maybe an interview?

I've seen that video (actually, I'm sure I have Axl's appearance on it taped somewhere, but can't seem to find it now  :-[  ).

It's not really an interview, it's more like a comment from Axl about Elton John -  It's very short too.

Two Rooms just has a clip from their performance at Freddys tribute.
