Post by: 5thofwhiskey on July 13, 2004, 09:57:14 PM
This fucking song ROCKS!

anyone got the lyrics to this?

This is a kick ass song.................so is the version of Anything Goes!

I highly recommend the HOLLYWOOD ROSE CD.

This has to be one of my gems of the Gn'R collection

FUCKING AWESOME CD!

Gilby's mix is my choice....................

I dont know the full lyrics, but I think this song is fucking brilliant and sort of ironic considering the state of GnR these days.

"I live my life on borrowed dime, I make my living killing time."

Axl really lives what he writes.

Yeah its a killer CD, but I dont recommend any one to buy it if their friend has it and they can copy it. Making 3 versions of 5 songs to fill up an album because of the lack of enough original material kinda sucks.

Dude who cares if they filled space. It would be well worth the money if it was just a 5 song EP. The remixes are a bonus.

A 5 song EP with 2 demo versions of GnR songs. Is worth $15?

That's $3.00 each song. You can download the 5 different tracks off of the new Napster or Best BUy for like $.79 each totalling $less then $4.00. I think for $15 I deserve 15 different songs. Don't tell me they are a "bonus" THey are filler space so they can get $15 each. Would you pay $15 for the 5 songs alone?

Ya! its really cool to here Axl developing into the singer he is today. I really like it. But I think it sucks that it was put out without permisssion from the artists. I also think it was really lame to put the re-mixes on there. You don't mess with other musicians stuff without there consent.

I think it is a killer cd.......The only tune I don't really care for is Rocker.......The rest are kick ass.....Hell I even dig both versions of the re-mixes.

They said Chris paid to make the demo thats why he has the rights to them or so.

I agree with you on the remixes. Why did they bring Gilby in to mix them? He had nothing to do with the originals but he was probalby the cheapest Ex Gunner to bring in and we all know Tracii is still bitter he left before GnR hit big.

They should of put out the 5 songs on a cheaper EP.

I think I payed 12 bucks for it at best buy, and yes, I would have paid that much even if it had just the 5 originals.

I guess Im still old school cause I like having the official release with the art work.

The original demo only had the 5 songs so why not put some remixes in there.
After the first 5 tracks I wanna hear them again and the different versions make it fun.

Your talk about it being a rip off kinda sucks the enjoyment out of the fact that we are getting some really rare early Axl Rose recordings.

Its not about how much money each song costs, but how much they are worth.

i bought it the first week it was out at Best Buy and it was $14.99. I dont consider it a treat , its just some small record companies attempt to make some big bucks. Chris Webb dont care for thefans. Cleopatra doesnt either. They just wanted to make some cash.  The remixes are not that good and its a rip off
