A friend of mine who works for Universal Amphitheater's technical crew was at the Rainbow bar and grill last week with his girlfriend, and they bumped into Axl Rose. He was wearing a Sopranos Hockey Jersey, shades, and it appeared to be the leather hat he had on at the VMA's. Adam (my friend) was smart. He kept his cool and sent his smoking hot redhead girlfriend over. Axl had two folders in front of him and was on a cellphone. She asked the bartender if it was really Axl over there. He said yes and it would be great if she didn't fucking bother him because he barely come in anymore. So she ignores him and goes up to him anyway after waiting for him to get off the phone. She leans over and says "I don't want to bother you, I just wondered if you would tell a lifelong fan if Chinese Democracy is coming out this year." Axl looked up surprised that a girl knew the name of his album. And he said "Well we're going to be touring before that happens. I'm trying to find a new guitarist." She asked if it would be in the US or elsewhere. At this Axl grew alert and asked if she was a journalist. She said no, just a fan. and he seemed to calm down. Then he said "I was waiting for you to ask me about Rio." THen before she could say more he said. "Between me and you and everyone your going to end up telling this to, We're going to complete the leg of the north american tour starting with LA next year. If we can book venues. And you'll see the album when it's done. I hope you have a good night ok?" She knew her exit cue and thanked him, and said she adored Madagascar. Axl said that was very kind of her. And she went back to the bar and to Adam. All of this was told to me on the phone 4 days ago. I had to wait for the administrator to validate my account so I could tell you guys. So forget about some dumb as fuck VR announcement (Go to jail Scott!) This was the coolest thing I heard all year. And seeing as how I had tickets to the show at The Forum in 2002 before the band went batshit again, I am one happy fuckin camper. He just better not blow it again, otherwise GNR is the new Oasis.

Unless GNR guarantees to play half of the songs from Chinese Democracy before the album is released, I don't think any promoter will book them again ( that is of course, big venues)

It was posted at my(gay)nr, so it's total bullshit. Nothing that's posted over there turns out to be true.

If anyone believes this there is something really wrong with you, because Axl would never tell a random stranger when a tour is going to take place.

I was in the Rainbow that night and Axl definitely didn't talk to any hot redhead.

You go to a bar and Axl is there... you go ask him about Chinese Democracy and etc... he will tell you exactly what he told everyone in his last letter to the Gn'R fans.

You've obviously never met Axl before or you would know that he can be quite open when fans start talking to him. At the backstage party after the MSG show, he spoke for quite a while to a group of about six of us, answering questions about everything from the album to the first single to his trip to China. He didn't hesitate with his answers, and he didn't hold back.

As for this particular story about the Rainbow, I don't know if it's true.
But I wouldn't automatically dismiss it.

I was backstage because I was invited - and I can assure you the people who invited me had no links whatsoever to any of the GNR forums.

I've also never lied in any post I've ever written on any GNR forum. In fact, I go out of my way to chase down bogus rumors and correct misinformation when I see it. I think my track record  speaks for itself.

You obviously have personal issues my friend because you were banned from mygnr and we wouldn't unban you when you asked. Move on my friend and live your life.

ahah bull, i asked for my account to be deleted after you banned me for telling you to stop twisting my words around. And you can tell everyone over at mygaynr whatever you want and maybe they will believe you, but your only telling them lies. If Axl would have told you the first single, and there weas other people there when he said it, it would have been all over the internet the next day. so dont try and tell me that he told you it cause its bullshit.

Uh, seeing how touring without an album last time wasn't successful, I doubt they would attempt the same thing this time.  I really do.  

How come we are all crazy for information or sightings of Axl and every single time someone says anything everyone rides them to the ground and calls them liars?  I guess its a good thing you can't physically stone someone over the internet. Just shred them.

I think if nothing else the fact that Axl is getting out and about more and more is promising in itself.

To bad he can't cruise through my state.  

I just wish him happiness and peace in life. Even if he makes music for just himself. He has a vision and gift that can't be denied or we wouldn't all be here.

I'm not crazy for information on Axl... I know he's happilly living his life in his house like always. He doesn't need to get out on the public eye for us to know that.

The problem with this post is the most likely BS that is the information on Guns N' Roses.

Madison isnt lying  i dont know her but  i was there as well .he did answer questions for for a group of about 6 and many others standing in front of a table he was behind for over a hour . ;D

she might not be totally lying but there is no way in hell that Axl would give out the name of the first single to total strangers and not have it all over the net the next day. It's just impossible.

As I recall, Tommy said something about not finding a replacement guitarist, stating Robin and Richard are perfectly capable.

I agree with you. I have been a memeber of this forum for awhile and i just read before that without being a memeber. I only post when I feel like I have something to add to the discussion or when I want to shoot down a rumour.

the IRS leak came like a year after MSG. so unless Miss Cleo was there asking questions about the leak, i doubt that's what she meant.

furthermore, Aston's claim makes no sense. eddie trunk and mike piazza were there?? why didn't madison say this. seems like big news. also, were there a group of 6 people or were there "a group of about 6 and many others"? seems like a big difference. mainly in that one isn't a group of 6 at all.

yes mike piazza and eddie trunk were both at the after party at MSG . i know what eddie looks like and ive seen piazza on tv but my girlfreind pointed out to me it was piazza if  she hadnt i wouldnt had known it was him he just looks like a regular guy   / there was like 6 people that stood in front of the table including the girl with the faux fur hat that was pulled out of the audience with her girlfreinds that kept asking axl questions and  alot of other people in that  general area it was a big afterparty room  . and i beleive the i.r.s link was after the msg show .  and i saw chris rock before the show. ive told all i know

Plus, I believe Piazza is a godfather to on one of Zak wylde kids. I BELIEVE. not 100% positive.
