Post by: Mr Cowbell ? on July 06, 2004, 06:28:07 PM
I know I'm probalby one of the last to see GnR RiR3, but I have a question I hope someone can anwser. I been looking around and didnt see it on any other thread so here i go.

During "It's so Easy" First flips the bird to some guy. Then  he stops singing and Tells security to throw that guy out. and takes some tshirt?  Did he actually have some guy thrown out?

Are you for real? He had this anger look on his face and he got a shirt from someone.

Thanks alot Jizzo, I thought it was a joke, but knowing Axl I thought anything is possible. Kicking someone out over that is kinda rude

There were other artists who performed that same day - Oasis being one of them.

I personally think Axl was wrong, the guy paid to be there and he was not causing anyone any harm.

It's not really fair to say that.  There is never a shot of the guy in the video and you can't see exactly what he's doing.  There may have been more to it.

Dude , I dont know why you're not getting more credit for that reply because that was one of the funniest things I have ever read after lurking around here last couple years.

Fact is whether that guy was there for other bands or not he was obviously still there for GN'R since he was at the front, the t-shirt shows he was at least once a fan now if so he should know something like that would just piss Axl off now if the guy has nothing better to do than try and piss him off fine he should get his ass kicked out.  Everyone knows how Axl feels about the old band and Slash and this was the New GN'R without Slash if the fan doesn't like it he should not be there at the front he should be grabbing some food or chilling out at the back

I hope sooner or later Axl will make some new music i like, cause  I sure don`t like his personality. He most really have some problem with his self esteem. I really think he`s an idiot when he does things like that. Don`t be pissed of now, I have just as much right to think he`s an idiot as you have to think he`s god.

he wasn't wearing it, he was holding it up.
I don't think security would have ripped the shirt off the guy to give it to Axl...

I think he had every right to do it, it's his show he can do what he wants.

What's the point in going if you're just going to heckle the singer?

I hate people who go to GNR gigs and shout for slash hes left and its not fair to the new band members who have worked hard to see them.

Gimme a break man, you can`t threw him out just because he likes slash back in the band. Axl is like a diktator, if someone don`t follow him blindly and have the same opinions and views as him he  gets rid of them. I hope thats not the way they work in the band. To imagine that his is the same Axl who lived the hard life of sunset strip, now he can`t even handle this... man...

I hope i don`t get trown out if I wear a Randy Rhoads t-shirt to a Ozzy-show - hope Zakk Wylde doesn`t get insecure or starts to cry.

Whatever Axl's reason's for doing shit like that I don't know.

But I will say this.....Most fans of Guns know what Axl's like when it comes to shit like that.....So the question is why would one do something like that, when they know what he will do?

So the bottom line here is,anyone that does something to get a rise out of Axl or just knows what he will do,then they are the idiot.

Since when does Axl have the authority to throw someone out just because he doesn't like his shirt?  If I were that guy, I would have sued Axl.  He paid for the show and if he wasn't causing any other problems, he shouldn't have been thrown out.

I agree with Kayoss. No one saw what was happening, and Im glad they kicked out that jerk.

But, have anybody seen the start of "The blues"?
It seems like Axl almost flips at the start of that song-check it out.

I believe Axl was having problems with his monitor.  If you watch him on "It's So Easy" toward the end his singing is really out of synch with the music.  He was trying to get it adjusted and at the beginning of "The Blues" he's trying to get the sound guy's attention.  The guy runs over and makes some sort of adjustment but must not have been to Axl's liking which is where the "Okay! Nevermind!" comment came from in the middle of the song.

How can anyone here be sure that the guy wasn't just escorted to the back of the crowd to appease King Axl???

That's probably what happened. Taken out of King Axl's scope of vision.

The guy's ticket was for other band's and not just GNR.
