Title: Scott's relationship to the band
Post by: slashnbuckethead on June 25, 2004, 03:59:41 AM
I remmeber reading on a post here about someone who met someone related to the band that mentioned that Scott does not hang out so much with the other VR guys. I also noticed that Scott has never seemed to make too big of a deal about Slash or anyone elses musical talent. I doubt anyone can make the argument that there is no chemistry there musically, but personally do these guys get along? Does Scott maybe not talk so much about the individuals so as not to distract attention from the music? Or is he not giving credit where credit is due?

Didn't he say how much of a motivational effect Duff had on him. Duff took him out and they have done martial arts together on more than one occasion, i think.

Yes, he has blown off reporters... and why?  Well, think about it... all they do is interview him about his drugs and the STP split, and then state how he is the biggest fuckup in the music industry.  I wouldnt wanna talk to anyone after that shit.

I respect his decision.

And I haven't heard of him turning up late.  That's not a substantiated rumour... and I'm not sure that it's a substantiated spelling of substantaiated ... or even if the word exists...  ???

Not true...I recall a couple of reports from concerts where Scott would call Slash a guitar god and such.  And Im positive that hes said similar things in interviews.

In KC, Scott said something to the effect Of "Here's Slash, guitar hero, he's our favorite player"...

I think reporters start these rumors because scott doesnt participate in group interviews and hides from the press while the rest of the band love the press

At one point early on Scott stated that Slash was the best Lead guitar player he has ever played with.
