Post by: norway on June 24, 2004, 05:48:44 AM
In the "whem you breakin down my back", you know the hard fast vocalpart in ycbm video, there are shots from axl sittin on the shoulders to the bodyguards, bangingbhis head while singing.

Does these spesicfic shows exist on video\bootleg thats availebale...

It looks like some cool moments there :)

Well, the live performance shots of the You Could Be Mine Video were shot in the Ritz, so id imagine there is a bootleg of it around somewhere. I know for certain that there is a 1991 Ritz performance around, you will just have to search for it!

As for the sitting on the bodygaurds shoulders, only ever seen that happen in the Video, could be wrong though, does anyone else know?

And is the guy in the video the famous Earl, Axls Bodyguard. When i was younger i thought it was BA Barracus off the A-Team. Oh well!!

It's Axl's bodyguard Earl. It happens at the show at the Ritz in 1991. But you wont find it on the video, I have the concert and it cuts out in the middle of SCO'M, and they played WTTJ after it. So its either during the end of SCO'M, or in WTTJ, which isnt on the bootleg, so you wont see it.

They never played at the Ritz in 1989. I think you're referring to the 02.02.1988 show (some bootlegs= companies mislabel the Ritz '88 for '89, I don't know why).

The band played three times at the Ritz in New York:
- 10.23.1987: amazing show with Don't Cry, Reckless Life, Mama Kin', etc. They played the CBGB a week later (the infamous 1987 unplugged show). An audio bootleg exists (not great quality), no video.
- 02.02.1988: one of the most famous GN'R shows, aired on MTV. Amazing concert again. Audio and video bootlegs exist.
- 05.16.1991: my personal favorite Ritz show with an awesome setlist (Right Next Door To Hell, You Ain't The First, Estranged, Pretty Tied Up, My Michelle, etc.) and Shannon Hoon on guest vocals for two tracks. Audio and video bootlegs exist. Unfortunately the video is incomplete (and very shaky) and cuts off after the beginning of Sweet Child.

What's the audio like on 05.16.91?
